First Aider in attendance / Vet on Call / Refreshments available / Father Christmas passing by (!) Class 1: The Turkey & Tinsel 20 Jumps 20cm approx. To be split into Lead Rein & Non Lead Rein sections, subject to sufficient entries being received. *Riders not to have won first place in ANY individual show jumping competition. Class 2: The Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh-ty 30 Jumps 30cm approx. To be split as above, subject to sufficient entries being received. Class 3: The Figgy Pudding 40 Jumps 40cm approx. To be split into Assisted and Unassisted sections, subject to sufficient entries being received.
No Lead Reins in Classes 3, 4, 5 & 6. Class 4: The Festive 50 Jumps 50cm approx. Unassisted. Class 5: Santa s 60 Jumps 60cm approx. Unassisted. Class 6: The Sugar Plum Fairy 70 Jumps 70cm approx. Unassisted. All classes will be open to individuals and teams of 3 or 4 members (best 3 scores count). Rosettes: To 6th placed team and to 6 th placed individual in each class Best Weston Harriers in each class All riders are automatically entered as individuals Entry Fees: 40 per team of 4, 30 per team of 3, 10 individual First Aid: 1.00 per competitor Conditions and rules of entry: To be judged under PC show jumping rules 2017. The judge s decision will be final. Please note that penalties will be as per 2017 Rule Book Ages as 1 st January 2017 All classes will be two phase with the second section being timed. All riders will be allowed to jump the timed section as long as they have not been eliminated. Prize giving will be unmounted. Team Managers and Parents please note that correct dress at the presentation is expected. No spurs without DC s written permission or have passed their B test. No Spurs for Classes 1, 2 & 3 regardless. Teams must be declared 30 minutes before the start time given. Warm up. Number of horses warming up at any one time will be limited. Warm up jumps are NOT to be higher than the class in progress. No rider may ride more than one horse/pony in any one team. No horse / pony to compete more than 3 classes. Classes 1 & 2: These classes are aimed at the novice rider. Entries restricted: No horse or pony is to jump more than three classes in total on the day. Teams must present themselves 15 minutes before they jump for a tack inspection. It is the responsibility of the Team Manager to familiarise the competitors with the correct turnout requirements and that spurs letters will be required. Correct protective helmets must be worn and fitted with the pony club tag before the day.
Wearing of body protectors is recommended. On the Lead Rein means on the lead rein please. All the way through the finish! All droppings and waste from haynets must be picked up. The Organisers reserve the right to alter/cancel classes at their discretion. Dogs must be kept on leads.
