July 2011 Dear Telluride Business Owner, As the Telluride Tourism Board (TTB) and Telluride Publishing launch production of the Winter/Spring 2011 2012 edition of the Telluride & Mountain Village Official Visitor Guide, I very much want to personally urge your participation in our destination s ONLY official guide and travel planner. The GO-TO resource for visitors to Telluride and Mountain Village puts your business literally in the hands of our most precious tourism asset consumers. Whether Telluride is on their consideration list or they re already here, this year s visitor guide will be the primary source through which our visitor base engages with our destination. With a six-month shelf-life, a total print run of 80,000 and a conservative pass-on rate of four, this marketing vehicle is the best publishing value in Telluride today. The Guide will be distributed throughout the state s 56 visitor centers, at ski shows and trade shows through Telluride Ski Resort and the TTB s group sales department, in hotels, condos and houses throughout Telluride and Mountain Village, as well as being included with Telluride and its national newsstand distribution network. In addition to the revamped printed piece, we are expanding and revitalizing the digital version as well. Given that our web site sees more than 150,000 unique visits annually, we re looking for the online version to be much more interactive and include bonus content that isn t available through the printed piece. The entire effort is a collaborative among the Tourism Board, Telluride Publishing, Telluride and Telluride Inside and Out (TIO), the interactive culture, arts, outdoor adventure, fashion portal widely known as the news source for Telluride's robust cultural economy. Together, we hope to provide a more complete picture of our home literally and figuratively. A renewed focus on the human element of the destination is the goal for the reformatted publication. It will include all the facts, figures, phone numbers and addresses; but, will strive to more personally introduce visitors to the warmth, culture, shopping, cuisine and the intellectual capital of Telluride and Mountain Village. We look forward to delivering on your investment, Michael Martelon President & CEO
