Our thanks to all the bidders and congratulations to Toby on being the winner. Consignments remain open for the Breeders Trust Select Sale There s still time to consign to the Paint Horse sale of the year. Stakes Sessions for Weanling Halter and Yearling Pleasure are open to Regular Registry horses nominated to the Breeders Trust. Horses sold in these sessions are eligible to return to the 2013 World Show to compete in their respective Farnam Stakes classes (Yearling halter, 2- Year-Old Western Pleasure or Hunter Under Saddle). As mentioned above, horses that sold through the stakes session last year will compete for a whopping $40,000 purse in the Farnam 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure Stakes class at this year s show and $50,000 at the 2013 show. There is also a regular session offered that s open to show horses, show prospects and breeding animals that are nominated to the Breeders Trust or broodmares that are in foal to a Breeders Trust subscribed stallion for the 2012 breeding year. To date, we have 5 consignments for the Regular Session of the sale and 24 consignments for the Yearling Select Session. Click here Select Sale for information and consignment forms. Contact Steven Imhof or call him today at (817) 222-6441. eyed All horses attending this year s APHA Open/Amateur World Championship Show will receive a courtesy local enrollment in eyed as part of the check-in process at the show. The local enrollment includes a scan and that connects the Paint Horse to its APHA registration records within the APHA system via the eyed technology. The scan takes about five seconds and all of the World Show qualifiers information will be pre-loaded into the system. For a paperless check-in option at future APHA World Shows, competitors can upgrade to a national enrollment for a $50 per horse fee. The national enrollment will allow medical information for a specific horse to be uploaded to a secure site, making it a breeze to check in and be positively identified at the show. Once scanned and nationally enrolled, horses can be positively identified, ecoggins papers checked and registration papers confirmed to match the horse, across the United States, all with an eyed iris scan. A national enrollment in eyed provides: Noninvasive, secure ID that is 99.9 percent accurate 24/7 access to ecoggins results certificates, health records and registration papers A greater chance of horse recovery APHA and eyed believe that partnering to offer these services provides great value for both the breed and the exhibitor. To watch scanning videos, upgrade to a national enrollment, or to learn more, visit eyed. 50th Anniversary Books Received word from the publisher that the new Paint Horse books, co-authored by Duke Neff and Sam Ed Spence, will ship on September 26 and will arrive here on October 1. 4
