September 24, 2017 In This Issue From the Principal's Desk News from the PHHS PTSA News from PHHS News from the Community PHHS PTSA Business Partners This Week at PHHS Quick Links PHHS PTSA Perry Hall HS PHHS Alumni Association PHHS Athletic Boosters Baltimore County Public Schools Greetings! Although it doesn't feel like it Fall is officially here! Hopefully you and/or your student has adjusted well to the school year. Each student received a student planner at the beginning of the school year. The PTSA pays for these planners in hopes they will help keep students organized and successful throughout the school year. I encourage all students to use them! Order forms for Chick-fil-A calendars were distributed to students this past week. If you or your student didn't receive one see below for the form. This is one of our major fundraisers so please help support us so we can help support the parents, teacher and students of the PHHS community! Have a great week! Krista DiPaula PHHS PTSA President From the Principal's Desk Parents and Guardians, Last week, I congratulated senior Malachi Fowler who is a Semifinalist in the College Board National Merit Scholarship Program for scoring in the top 1% on the PSAT in Maryland. This week, I am congratulating seniors C. Ciatte, M. Sacco, and C. Zhang who have been named Commended Students in the same scholarship program. This means that they finished in the top 5% of students in Maryland but not in the top 1%. Please ensure that you are accessing BCPS One to check in your child's progress. Grades should be updated at least every two weeks by the teachers. If you have trouble accessing the online gradebook please call the school to ensure that you are

following the process correctly. Andrew Last PHHS Principal News from the PHHS PTSA Chick-fil-A Calendar deadline extended to Friday, Oct. 6. Chick-fil-A calendars come with a pre-loaded monthly offer card that will work in all Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide. You can receive a FREE menu item every month - totaling over $40 worth of FREE food and/or drinks. Calendars cost only $8, the same price they are sold for in the restaurants. Please send in orders with payment in a sealed envelope marked "PTSA Chick-fil-A" by Friday, Oct. 6. Calendars can be picked up on Tues., Nov. 7 6:30-8:30 pm in the school library.
