STATE FAIR AWARDS & ENTRY FEES Premiums totaling $4,500.00 will be awarded. Ribbons for Open, Youth and Non-Pro Classes will be awarded. Youth or Non-Pro Classes, horsemanship, showmanship and equitation will not receive cash. Payback 1 st Place $23.00 2 nd Place $15.00 3 rd Place $8.00 Paybacks shown will be split by judge. Listed Entry Fee is for both shows (Double-Judged): Stalls will be available after 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 28. Complete the stabling list for all owners and exhibitors who wish their animals to be stalled together. All exhibitors must work out of stalls, rather than out of trailers, due to the lack of available parking around the arena. PARKING *Parking inside the fairgrounds requires a permit to enter. This permit must be requested on the entry form or may be purchased at the Equine Check-In Trailer and is for the sole use of the exhibitor. All vehicles must have an exhibitor parking permit affixed to the driver s side on the front windshield. Parking permits are $15.00 for exhibitors and are good for the entire run of the fair. All trucks and trailers will be required to park in designated areas. Fair Management assumes no obligation or liability for any theft or damage that may occur to the vehicle or its contents. ENTRIES *For 2017, the Nebraska State Fair will be accepting online entries for the Appaloosa Horse Show. Go to the state fair website, www.statefair.org. Click on the Get Involved tab, Horses, Premium Book/Entry Forms. We are encouraging the use of the online entry system as this is the most accurate form of entry. Entries may be made online or mailed to the address provided on the entry form. Late entries will be accepted until the barn is full. A late fee of $50.00 per exhibitor will apply for all entries postmarked after July 31, 2017.

DOGS Due to requirements of the liability insurance carrier and policy of all major livestock shows, NO dogs are allowed on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds, in parking lots or in buildings other than those for direct competition or service animals. All dogs must be on a leash. There shall be no loose or unattended dogs on the fairgrounds. No dogs will be permitted in the animal barns, in tie outs or on the Midway, except during authorized events and sanctioned dog shows. Dogs entered in Nebraska State Fair special performances or competitive events will be allowed on grounds or in buildings during performance or competition only. FEED AND BEDDING All feed and bedding needs will be handled by Mid Nebraska Feeds, which is the local Purina dealer. Hay, bedding and/or feed will be available. You can pre-order feed and bedding by contacting them at 308-382-3048. SHOW RULES 1. By signing an entry form, the exhibitor agrees to abide by the Nebraska State Fair General Livestock Information, Rules and Regulations, the Equine Information, Rules and Regulations and the Appaloosa Club Rules and Regulations. The exhibitor also agrees to abide by the IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics. To obtain a copy of the current ApHC rules, write: Appaloosa Horse Club, Inc., 2720 W. The ApHC and Nebraska State Fair will not be responsible for any accident that may occur to, or be caused by any horse exhibited at the show or for any article of any kind of nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way damaged. 3. All horses, including foal of current year, must have registration papers before showing. 4. An Open Signed Blank Check will be left at show office at check-in to cover added classes, will be returned at check-out if no classes added. 5. Open, Non-Pro and Youth national association membership cards must be shown at the Horse Show Office when checking in. 6. Non-Pro entries must be registered with the ApHC and have Non-Pro registration card. 7. In timed and judged cattle classes each entry will run once (once under both judges) and will pay one cattle charge. 8. Junior horses are 5 years and younger. Senior horses are 6 years and older. 9. Youth exhibitors shall be 18 and younger as of January 1 of the current year. 10. Novice youth exhibitors shall have less than 25 points in all youth classes as of January 1st of the current year, excluding Walk/Trot and Leadline points. 11. It shall take 3 or more entries to make a class. Management has the right to combine or cancel classes. 12. All game classes are one run for both judges. 13. The 3-minute gate rule will be enforced. Plan accordingly.
