Show Rules: The Appaloosa Congress Page 13 of 14 1. ApHC rules will apply to all classes according to the 2014 official handbook. 2. ENTRY DEADLINE See above entry form. EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS ON ALL ENTRY FORMS. 3. CATTLE CLASS ENTRY DEADLINE See above entry form Entries may be accepted after the deadline if additional cattle are available. Final determination to be made by show management. 4. POST ENTRY FEE See above entry form 5. 5. If exhibitors wish to make changes to their entries, they may do so by filling out individual class correction forms, indicating additions, scratches, or change of exhibitor. Scratches/Additions. Additions: Classes may be added up to 1 hour before the class (no post entry fee will apply if the horse was registered prior to August 8, 2014) Regular entry fees apply to all added classes. Add Forms must be filled out at the show office. No additions will be accepted without the completed form. Scratches: After August 8, 2014 to prior to the start of the show scratches will be accepted for a full refund only with a veterinary certificate. Once the show commences, scratches will be also accepted at the show office, however no refund will be issued unless a veterinary certificate is provided at the show to the show office. 6. In cases of classes with posted order of performance, any horse missing its turn will be eliminated from that class unless otherwise arranged in advance. A working order may be drawn for all individual work classes including Halter. Use of working orders will be at show management s discretion. 7. A $50 NSF charge will charged on all cheques not honored and failure to clear the debt promptly may result in suspension from the ApHC. 8. All horses are subject to drug testing and all owners agree that by making their entry, they will allow their horses to be tested. 9. REGISTRATION PAPERS: Original papers or current photocopy (front & back) must be presented with all entries. Master registration form must show owner exactly as listed on the papers. Non pro and Youth exhibitors must produce registration papers showing ownership or proving approved relationship to the owner. 10. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Every person competing in an AHAA approved show must possess a current membership card for their points to count for the AHAA year end awards. If the exhibitor wishes to enter the ApHC approved classes they must possess a current individual ApHC membership card, or ApHC membership card with Non Pro/Youth privileges, recorded solely in their name, or must complete a membership application and pay at the show, which will be submitted with the show roster. Show management must inspect this membership card or photocopy of it at any show the exhibitor has entered. 11. EXHIBITOR NUMBERS: Each horse will be issued an exhibitor number at the show. 12. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT: When an exhibitor, owner and/or his representative acting on behalf of the exhibitor is guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct and/or inhumane treatment of a horse while on the show grounds, the Show management, at its sole discretion, may suspend such individual(s) from competition and a report will be forwarded to ApHC. No refund of entry fees will be made. 13. Youth or Non Pro classes will automatically be combined if there is not a point class in 1 division. The classes that are combined will be run at the time the Youth/ Non pro classes would be scheduled 14. HIGH POINT AWARDS: In order to qualify for a high point award exhibitors must show to all judges. Points will be tabulated throughout the show. See above entry form for information on awards and awards tabulations. (Ties will be decided by the participant with the most 1 st place achievements) 15. Haul in/grounds fee will be applied to those horses that are not stabled at the event. See above entry form for more info. 16. RV PARKING: See above entry form for more information. 17. ARENA USE: The indoor arena and wash rack will be available for use on Friday evening. 18. (See ApHC Rule Book for more information) In order to be eligible to show in novice non-pro classes, the non-pro must have fewer than 20 points (including points earned in non-pro, novice non-pro, 35 & over non-pro, masters non-pro, youth and novice youth divisions) in that class in the ApHC and/or any other breed association as of January 1 of the current year and must not have won an ApHC non-pro National or World title or title in any other equine breed association (ie: ApHCC, AQHA, APHA) in that class (beginning 1/1/1996). In addition, former professionals reclassified as non-pros are ineligible to compete in any novice classes. To be eligible to show in a novice youth class, the youth, as of January 1 of the current year, shall have earned less than a combined total of 20 points in the ApHC and/or any other breed organization approved or sponsored shows in the group of youth and novice youth classes that count toward determining novice eligibility in each of the five novice youth classes, excluding walk-trot, leadline, hunter in hand and halter. The youth must not have won an ApHC youth National or World title or title in any other equine breed association (ie: ApHCC, AQHA, APHA) (beginning 1/1/1998) in that class to remain eligible. Youth may be ineligible for one class (based on points or titles earned) but may still be eligible to compete in other novice youth classes. The records indicated on this list include only the points and titles earned in ApHC-approved or -sponsored competitions. If you have earned points in excess of the limits listed above or have earned any National or World titles with any other equine breed association (ie: ApHCC, AQHA, APHA), you are expressly denied the ability to compete as a novice non-pro and/or novice youth in that specific class.

NO CLASSES WILL BE COMBINED, without the discussion and approval by SHOW MANAGEMENT. ApHC protocol will be strictly adhered to for the combining of any classes. NO EXECPTIONS. 20. Non-Pro Walk-Trot: (Page 263 of the ApHC Handbook) 1. Eligibility. All non-pros are eligible to ride in these classes without regard to number of points earned or age of exhibitor. 2. Ownership of Horse. a. For the walk-trot division classes, ownership requirements of the horse are waived at ApHC-approved regional shows. b. For the walk-trot division classes, ownership requirements of the horse are not waived at ApHC-sponsored shows. 3. Non-pro walk-trot classes will be judged in accordance with ApHC walktrot show rules. 4. There are no restrictions on how long a non-pro exhibitor may show in walk-trot classes.5. A non-pro exhibitor cannot show in the walk-trot classes and threegaited classes at the same show.6. These classes are limited to non-pros who do not participate in any approved classes at the same show except Showmanship, Halter, Hunter in Hand, Heritage, Yearling Longe Line, Pleasure Driving and non-pro walk-trot classes which include: a.
