1. Introduction and Overview The (BOTA) is a representative group of doctors for all levels of Trauma & Orthopaedic surgical training in the United Kingdom. BOTA currently has 987 active members. All trainees with a national training number (NTN) have the opportunity to join. Foundation doctors and Core Surgical Trainees are permitted to join as junior members. Members of the BOTA Committee are democratically elected at the Annual General Meeting from the membership. Industry sponsors that take up this fantastic opportunity will be able to discuss with the Education Representative to ensure the chosen preeminent speaker is a satisfactory choice. 10.
