He worked at least 3.0 innings in three of the five appearances. WHAT A RELIEF Cloyd scattered four hits and a pair of walks across 5.0 shutout innings of relief vs. the Dodgers on 5/12. WINNER WINNER - Cloyd earned his first career Baby Cake victory and first Triple-A win of the 2018 season by scattering eight hits over 5.0 innings pitched o n 6/18 vs. Sacramento. He also added a two-run double in the second inning, marking his first career multi- RBI performance, and his third career extra-base hit, the last coming with Philadelphia on August 24, 2013 vs. Arizona. 2017 in review PATRIOTIC DUTY Cloyd began 2017 with the independent Somerset Patriots, where he allowed two runs in 12.0 IP with 16 strikeouts across three starts. He was signed to a minor league pact by the Seattle Mariners on 05/10 and assigned to AAA Tacoma. MARVELOUS MAY Cloyd opened his stint with Tacoma in superb fashion, blanking the opposition over his first 15.2 innings spanning three-plus starts. On 5/23, Cloyd picked up his first win of the year, pitching 5.0 shutout innings against Fresno. BACK IN THE BIGS The Mariners purchased Cloyd s contract on 6/2, and he tossed a scoreless seventh inning in his lone appearance with the club on 6/9 vs. Toronto to earn his first Major League victory since June 6, 2013.
