Hopefully, tryouts will be a positive and energizing experience for you. It is a great way to demonstrate your talents, learn new things, and meet other students on campus with similar interests to yours. 2018-2019 Financial Obligations The Danceros are a 100% family/team-funded group. We are not considered a district sport and therefore, at this time, do not have county or school funding. Based on revisions made to the current team budget, we estimate the following out-of-pocket expenses: $1400 Returning Danceros (Grades 10 & 11) $1500 Returning Senior Danceros $1800 New Members Should we elect to compete this season (regionals, nationals, or both), an extra competition assessment of up to $500 may be assessed in the fall. All Danceros are required to solicit team sponsors. Early season sponsors will be included on the football banner and in the football program. Each Dancero is required to solicit $400 worth of sponsorships. Any additional sponsorships received will be credited directly to the Danceros personal account. Should the required $400 not be earned by the Dancero, the remaining amount must be paid. Families may also choose to just pay the additional $400 and not solicit sponsorships. Sponsorships are due by August 1, 2018 to be included in the football program and banner. Financial Timeline: Initially, the Danceros have more up-front cost due to apparel needs and UDA summer camp. The assessment schedule below will serve for each Dancero selected: Assessment #1: The first assessment will be required at the initiation dinner (June 6, 2018 at Initiation Dinner at the Tampa Yacht Club). These funds will go towards the initial deposits for summer camp, uniform items, camp apparel, and choreography that must be ordered as soon as the team is selected. Assessment #1 for Danceros will be based on a returning/new member status. Returning members - $1000 New members - $1300 Assessment #2: The second assessment will be due at our UDA camp send-off on July 18, 2018 for fixed team costs, such as program and yearbook ads, sponsor banner, etc. The balance will remain in each dancer s individual accounts to pay for costume items, etc. Assessment #2 for Danceros will be based on a returning/new member status. Returning members - $400 ($500 for seniors) New members - $500 Assessment #3: Should the team elect to attend regionals/nationals, the third assessment will be due by October 1, 2018 and may be an adjusted amount, dependent on budget. Assessment #3 may be up to $500 and will fund regional and/or national competition fees. The actual amount required, if any, will be adjusted before the due date. If the team has remaining funds, the balance will go towards assessment #3 for regionals/nationals.

We understand Danceros can be an expensive financial obligation. The fees required by each dancer must be paid in full, however, financial payment plans may be an option based on the individual needs of each family. These circumstances must be brought to the head coach s attention immediately, and will be reviewed by the coach on an individual basis. Other Financial Obligations: Throughout the season, dancers and their families may be required to contribute items for various activities/parties. These items may include, but are not limited to, cases of water, food, costume enhancements, holiday party, team dinners, etc., and approximately $100 for functions not covered by the General Team Fund or various assessments. It will also be the responsibility of each Dancero to individually purchase the required tights and jazz shoe (possibly black and tan) and other items deemed necessary for participation in various dances and activities. At the end of each season, each dancer s account will be reviewed and remaining monies will go toward the next season, or refunded if the dancer does not return. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2018-2019 Parent Volunteer Obligations Danceros is primarily run by the coaching staff, however, a large part of the Danceros success can be attributed to the families and parents of each dancer. There are numerous volunteer requirements throughout the year, and it is expected that parents assist with team activities to maintain the standard of excellence of this team. Mandatory parent volunteer requirements include attendance at the following: Jr Dancero Camp Fall 2018 Football Dinners/Chaperoning Fall 2018 Dancero Showcase Spring 2019 Water Donations Year Long Committee sign-up for AT LEAST one committee *It is mandatory for a parent to volunteer on at least one committee. Committee descriptions and sign-up sheets will be provided at the Initiation Dinner on June 6 th. *It is also mandatory for a parent to host at least one home game dinner for the team, along with approximately at least four other parents.

You re Invited! An initiation dinner for the 2018-2019 Danceros will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Tampa Yacht Club from 6-9pm The General Team Fund will pay for the Danceros team. We have made reservations to include one parent per Dancero; however, parent attendees should bring a $30 check to cover their portion of the event. Checks may be made out to HB Plant High School Danceros **Please note that the first assessment is also due this day. You may combine the amount onto one check.** Questions regarding initiation dinner?
