Page: 3 of 5 ARTICLE 1: GAUTENG NORTH COLOURS 1.1. GAUTENG NORTH COLOURS is the emblem which is displayed on the shield and consists of a single red daisy with a green stalk. Below the white shield, light blue shield or navy shield the inscription WRESTLING followed by VETERAN, SENIOR, JUNIOR, CADET, YOUTH, OFFICIAL, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL, COACH, TEAM MANAGER, MEDICAL OFFICIAL or OFFICE- BEARER. Above the shield the inscription GAUTENG NORTH. The lettering and thread will be white on the white shield, light blue for the light blue shield and navy for the navy shield. (a). All members of Gauteng North who represent the association at a National Championship may wear their highest awarded colours and track suit (Protea, Cadet or Gauteng North track suit). A wrestler who represents the association at a National Championship who has not been awarded Gauteng North Colours will participate with a T-Shirt and sport trousers as approved by Gauteng North Executive Management (for uniformity). (b). Only members of Gauteng North who have been awarded Gauteng North colours may bear the emblem on the track suit. 1.1.1 Once a wrestler is awarded Gauteng North Colours for the second time or more, a bar with the respective year will be awarded and may be placed below the shield. 1.2 GAUTENG NORTH COLOURS ARE AWARDED TO: 1.2.1 Gauteng North Colours are awarded in the following categories, with specific colour of the shield to a team or individual who will represent the association (Gauteng North Wrestling). Gauteng North Colours are awarded only to OFFICE-BEARERS who represent the association in the capacity of OFFICIAL, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL, COACH, TEAM MANAGER or MEDICAL OFFICIAL and will receive the same colour shield as WRESTLERS. (a). Gauteng North Colours WHITE SHIELD A white shield is awarded to a wrestler who was selected by the South African Wrestling Federation to participate on an International level and to whom Junior or Senior Protea Colours were awarded; A Veteran wrestler who was selected by the South African Wrestling Federation to participate on an International level; A Junior, Senior or Veteran wrestler who achieved a first, second or third place during a South African Championship;
Page: 4 of 5 A Junior, Senior or Veteran wrestler who achieved a first place during a Gauteng North Junior, Senior or Veteran Championship and who has at least two (2) opponents in his or her weight category; A wrestler who achieved a first, second or third place during a South African President Championship in his or her weight category; A wrestler who achieved a first place during a Gauteng North President Championship and who has at least two (2) opponent in his or her weight category; A Coach or Team Manager to whom Protea Colours were awarded; A Official to who a FILA III was awarded. (b). Gauteng North Colours LIGHT BLUE SHIELD A light blue shield is awarded to a Cadet wrestler who was selected by the South African Wrestling Federation to participate on an International level and to whom Cadet Colours were awarded; A Youth wrestler who achieved a first, second or third place during a South African Championship; A Cadet wrestler who achieved a first, second or third place during a South African Championship; A Youth or Cadet wrestler who achieved a first place during a Gauteng North Youth or Cadet Championship and who has at least two (2) opponents in his or her weight category; A Official who is active for three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously, as an official within the association, who provided satisfactory service and who has a Provincial A grading for at least two (2) years; A Coach who is active for three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously, as a coach within the association, who provided satisfactory service and who has a Provincial A grading for at least two (2) years; An Administrative official, on recommendation of the Administrative Committee, who is active for three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously, as a administrative official within the association, who provided satisfactory service, passes the administrative committee s exam and who has the ability and is competent to perform their administrative duties during a tournament, and who has a Provincial A grading for at least two (2) years;
Page: 5 of 5 A Team Manager who performed team management duties for the association during a South African Championship and at least two (2) Gauteng North tournaments and who provided satisfactory service. To be eligible for team manager a nominee must have three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously service within the association in any capacity and (1) must have done all determinations as directed by the team management committee (2) have passed the qualification examination for team managers and who has a Level 2 grading; A Medical Official who is active for three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously, as a medical official within the association, who provided satisfactory service and who has a Provincial 3 grading; An Office-bearer/Individual in management roles who is active for three (3) years continuously or five (5) years discontinuously, as an office-bearer/individual in one or more management roles within the association and who provided satisfactory service as a member of the North Gauteng Wrestling Executive Management; In exceptional cases, any person, with the discretion of the Gauteng North Executive Management, who performed excellent duties. (c). Gauteng North Colours NAVY SHIELD A navy shield is awarded to an under 9, under 10 and under 11 wrestler who achieved a first or second place during a South African Region; A navy shield is awarded to an under 9, under 10 and under 11 wrestler who achieved a first place during a Gauteng North Championship and who has at least two (2) opponents in his or her weight category; ARTICAL 2: GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA 2.1 GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA HALF LAUREL is the emblem which is displayed on the shield and consists of a single red daisy with a green stalk on a white shield as background. The inscription will be GAUTENG NORTH above and WRESTLING HONORIS CAUSA below. A laurel wreath will be on both sides of the shield up to half of the shield. The lettering is in gold. 2.2 GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA FULL LAUREL is the emblem which is displayed on the shield and consists of a single red daisy with a green stalk on a white shield as background. The inscription will be GAUTENG NORTH above and WRESTLING HONORIS CAUSA below. A laurel wreath will be on both sides of the shield in full. The lettering is in gold. 2.3 GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA HALF LAUREL is awarded ones to: (a). The holder of Gauteng North Official colours who is an active official for five (5) years within the association and who provided outstanding service;

The holder of Gauteng North Administrative official colours who is an active administrative official for five (5) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (d). The holder of Gauteng North Medical official colours who is an active medical official for five (5) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (e). The holder of Gauteng North Team Managers colours who is an active team manager for five (5) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (f). The holder of Gauteng North colours who is an active office-bearer/individual in management roles for five (5) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (g). In exceptional cases, any person, with the discretion of the Gauteng North Executive Management, who performed excellent duties. 2.4 GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA FULL LAUREL is awarded ones to: (a). The holder of Gauteng North Official colours who is an active official for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (b). The holder of Gauteng North Coach colours who is an active coach for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (c). The holder of Gauteng North Administrative official colours who is an active administrative official for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (d). The holder of Gauteng North Medical official colours who is an active medical official for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (e). The holder of Gauteng North Team Managers colours who is an active team manager for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service; (f). The holder of Gauteng North colours who is an active office-bearer/individual in management roles for fifteen (15) years within the association and who provided outstanding service;
Page: 7 of 5 (g). In exceptional cases, any person, with the discretion of the Gauteng North Executive Management, who performed excellent duties. ARTICLE 3: EMBLEM 3.1 The shield on which the emblem is on can be wear on: (a) (b) (c) A navy blue jacket together with a navy blue tie of which the tie has a red daisy with a green stalk. Ladies may wear a waistcoat with the emblem and neat clothing. A track suit of which the design and colour will be determined from time to time by the Gauteng North Executive Management. (d) A singlet. 'n Stoeikostuum. ARTICLE 4: PRESCRIPTIVE 4.1 Prescriptive wearing of GAUTENG NORTH COLOURS, GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA HALF LAUREL and GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA FULL LAUREL: (a) The navy blue jacket must be worn at al times with neat clothing; (b) No GAUTENG NORTH COLOURS or GAUTENG NORTH HONORIS CAUSA may be worn with casual wear; (c) No other shield or emblem of sort may be worn with a Gauteng North shield or emblem on the jacket, track suit or singlet without the authorization of the Gauteng North Executive Management; and (d) The jacket or waistcoat may be worn together with approved Official clothing.
