Class 1 B Individuals: Open to all ( but entrants must have own insurance). PC Introductory Dressage Test 2007. Dressage tests may be commanded. Fences maximum show jumping 75cm, cross country 70cm. The combination of horse and rider is not eligible if they have competed at PC90 or above Eventing at Area or Championship level, or any BE90 competitions. Rosettes will be awarded: Individuals: 1 st to 8 th place, Best Dressage and Best CHPC member in each section. Teams: 1 st to 6 th place. Prizes depending on entries. First prize in each section a voucher for a photograph of the day by Top Shots Photography. Course walking: The course will be available to walk strictly between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday 8 th August. PLEASE LEAVE THE COURSE BY 5PM OR YOU MAY BE LOCKED IN! RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. This event is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2018, please read the rules before entering and abide by them at all times. The rules can be downloaded from the Pony Club website. The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules for this event where applicable. 2. Riders age as at 1 st January 2018. 3. A pony may only be entered in one class and ridden once. All horses/ponies must be 5 years old or over. No stallions. 4. Class 1: dressage tests may be commanded. Class 2: dressage tests must be ridden from memory. 5. Riders eliminated in the show jumping phase will only be allowed to go cross country with the explicit permission of the show jumping judge and official steward, whose decision is final. 6. Riders may continue on the cross country after 3 refusals at one fence or 4 refusals on the course, only with permission of the stewards. 7. There will be no penalties for going too slowly, but reverse time penalties will be applied for going too fast. 8. Body protectors (level 3 standard) are compulsory for cross-country and recommended for show jumping. A rider wearing an air jacket which inflates must not continue until it is removed or completely deflated. Riders wearing body cages must leave a key with the secretary when they collect their number. Medical armbands are not compulsory but advisable. 9. Riders will be given a paper number and must provide their own number bib. A small number of bibs will be available to purchase for 10 from the secretary. 10. A fastened hat must be worn at all times when mounted. All hats should conform to Pony Club standards. All Pony Club members must have their hats tagged with a turquoise hat tag (Pony Club, British Eventing or British Riding Club). Hats can be tagged at the secretaries tent. There is a charge of 1 for non CHPC members. 11. All competitors are to present themselves to be tack checked 15 minutes before their dressage time. Spurs may be worn by PC members and do not require the carrying of the written permission of their DC. 12. Please refer to rule 8 on dress which has been updated substantially. This will be strictly enforced. 13. Any competitor who has a fall or sustains a serious injury anywhere at the competition site must see medical personnel on the day and be passed fit to ride before riding that horse in a further test or before riding any other horse. They must also advise the secretary for the fall to be logged in the accident log. 14. Objections may be lodged, in writing, to the secretary with a 10 deposit, within 30 minutes of an incident or 10 minutes of the publication of the results for that class. 15. All prize winners must be correctly dressed for prize giving in dressage riding clothes and hat/hairnet. Dressage sheets will be posted if a SAE is provided to the on the day secretary. 16. All withdrawals must be made by the closing date. Entries will only be refunded after the close of entries on production of a medical or vets certificate. 17. If cancelled for any reason, 9.00 will be retained from the entry fee for advance costs; the balance will be refunded by Horse Events. 18. Bad language or behaviour by competitors or their supporters will not be tolerated and will result in the person being sent off site. 19. All dogs must be kept on a short lead, if they cannot be left at home.
20. No mucking out of lorries/trailers in the lorry park please and all litter to be taken home. 21. The decision of the organisers and judges is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition or refuse any entry without stating a reason. 22. Health, safety and welfare: the organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 23. Legal liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or the Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 24. Non-Pony Club members must have their own insurance including public liability.
