THOROUGHBRED DRESSAGE 11.30 am Judge Mrs S Peart TO BE HELD IN BRITISH DRESSAGE ARENA BEHIND THE CASTLE Numbers for dressage will be available from Unit next to the Dressage Arenas For any horse with a Weatherbys passport raced or unraced 4 yr old or over Rider to be 12 yrs plus on or before 1 January 2018. Competitors must wear current standard safety hat or skull cap Gloves must be worn. It is recommended that all jewellery be removed. Spurs are optional and must be blunt. CLASS 5 BD INTRO A (2008) Entry Fee 12 Horses not to have won more than two intro tests and must not have any BD POINTS CLASS 6 BD PRELIM 4 (2002) Entry Fee 12 Horses not to have won more than two prelim tests and not have more than 15BD points CLASS 7 NOVICE 28 (2008) Entry Fee 12 Horses not to have won any medium or elementary test but may have BD points CLASS 8 The RoR Tattersalls Scottish Thoroughbred Show Series 2019 Judges Conformation Ms J Furness Ride Mr B Storey Entry Fee 25 The RoR Tattersalls Scottish Show Series Qualifier To be held in the HARBRO Arena after Championship Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the championship at the Royal Highland Show 2019. All entries MUST be registered with the R0R and have RACED in GB. There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15years or over. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses to be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. Racing injuries and blemishes will NOT be ignored in this series Prizes : Rosettes 1 st to 6 th place, Vouchers 1 st to 4 th place. Veteran prize, 25 voucher to be redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the Veteran final at Aintree. 1 st 60 plus voucher for jacket, 2 nd 40 3 rd 20 4 th 10

Class 9 (not before 12-30pm) ROR 3 Phase Challenge Final Judges Dressage tbc Conformation Ms J Furness Ride Mr B Storey Entry fee: 25 For all qualified RoR registered horses with current Competition Membership. 4 years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should be plaited. Horses will NOT be ridden by the Judge. To qualify, combinations must be registered with and submitting scores for the 2017 2018 Regional Leagues in Arena Eventing and/or Combined Training. The top ten overall horse/rider combinations in Arena Eventing and Combined Training qualify for this competition plus 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd placed at the 2017 RoR Floors Castle 3 Phase Challenge qualifier. Snaffle bridle only. Front boots and Running Martingales are permitted in this competition for the Dressage and Show Jumping Phases. No Hind Boots are allowed whether warming up or in competition. No Boots to be worn when presenting for Conformation Phase. Jumping whip only allowed (max length 75cm). DRESSAGE TEST to be ridden from memory A Enter in working trot From X proceed directly to M Working trot C Serpentine 3 loops each loop to go to side of arena finishing at A F X H Change rein showing some lengthened strides Between H&C Working canter right C Circle right 20m diameter M X K Change the rein with transition to trot between X and K Between K & A Working canter left A Circle left 20m diameter Between A & F Working trot Between F & B Medium walk B Half 20m circle left in free walk on a long rein to E E Directly to A leave arena free walk on a long rein Followed immediately by: PHASE II: Jumping (40 points) & Style & Presence Whilst Jumping (20 points) A course of 8 to 10 coloured jumps, including a double. NO time will be allowed between these sections for any adjustment to tack or rider s dress. Maximum height of fences 0.95m. Scoring as follows: Knockdown = 5 penalties, 1st refusal = 10 penalties, 2nd refusal = 10 penalties, 3rd refusal = Elimination, penalties are cumulative. Fall of horse and/or rider will result in elimination. PHASE III: Conformation (20 points) Each horse to be presented, stripped in front of the judge. NO boots are to be worn for this phase. Total for all 3 phases = 100 points Note: following Section III, all competitors will be required in the HARBRO ring for mounted prize giving. In the event of equality of marks, the horse with the highest total jumping mark will be given precedence.

PLEASE NOTE - TB and RoR horsebox parking is a 10 minute walk from the Arenas and will be signposted. Please leave plenty of time to get to your Arena. The organisers reserve the right to vary the content of the event without being obliged to refund monies, or exchange tickets. Further the Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to the event to any person or to withdraw permission at any time to remain in the grounds, and shall not be required to give any reason for such action Your Responsibility All persons attending the event must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey instructions given by the Organiser or by officials and stewards on its behalf. Please indicate on the entry form if you do not wish to appear in press coverage/ TV or photos taken by our official photographers General information Please ensure that you do not muck out your horsebox onto the Car Park. Take all litter home with you. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Any dog mess must be cleared up.
