Team Cheer Camp Laramie, WY July 16 18, 2012 $1,500/Team Cowgirl Cheer Camp s Team Cheer Camp is a camp designed specifically for High School, Junior High, Middle School and All-Star Cheer Teams across Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. The curriculum at Team Cheer Camp will include all the traditional areas of cheerleading, but will be customized to the needs for each team that attends camp. Once registered, each team s coach will receive a curriculum questionnaire designed to help us create the most effective schedule to meet each team s needs. Classes will be offered in: Safety Class All teams will attend a safety class before moving on to any other classes. The safety class will provide training for every member of the team in every area of cheerleading. Teams will learn proper safety techniques and NFHS rules to ensure safe practices and performances all year long. Camp staff will work with each team in the safety class to determine which stunt class is appropriate for the overall team level. Stunt Class In stunt classes, teams will learn the proper technique needed to safely execute new and exciting stunts. Stunting areas include group stunts, partner stunts, pyramids, baskets, sign stunts, crowd leading stunts, elite stunts and competition transitions. Each team will learn level appropriate stunts and have the opportunity to choose the areas they want to focus on while at camp. Cheer Class From performance cheers to crowd leading chants, teams will learn new material that will have them ready for all seasons. Whether you re a new team needing to review proper motion technique or a varsity team wanting to learn new ways to get your student body involved, the cheer class will provide you with the material to achieve your goals. Tumbling Class Tumbling class will teach cheerleaders the benefits of basic tumbling such as body control, overall body strength and aerial movements. Tumbling class is NOT the place to learn new advanced tumbling passes, but rather a place where all cheerleaders can improve their technique, whether on a round off or an advanced running tumbling pass. Coach s Class Cheer teams are created for a variety of purposes and have varying goals. During our specialty class, each team can choose an area that best fits their role as a cheer team. Jump Class During the jump class, campers will learn drills and specific exercises that can be done at home or practice to improve all jumps from the most basic tuck jump to a toe touch-back tuck! Dance Class Whether dancing with the band or the latest hit, dances are often a favorite for cheerleaders. The dances you learn during dance class will be crowd favorites for years to come! Team Time Team time is a time set aside to provide 1) team building opportunities 2) practice time with your camp coach and 3) time to review all the new material you will learn at camp. Specialty Classes Cheer teams are created for a variety of purposes. During specialty class, teams can choose an area that best fits their role as a cheer team. All Star Class This class will help All Star Teams improve technique in motions, jumps, stunts, dances and more. Teams will also work on choreography and understand how to see a routine from a judge s point of view. Competition Class Beginning, intermediate, advanced or elite competition teams will learn the ins and outs of competition cheering, such as reading a score-sheet, choreographing a routine and learning how to create unique transitions and formations. Junior High Class Designed specifically for Junior High and Middle School teams, this class will focus on the basics of cheerleading including motion technique, crowd involvement, game rules and basic stunting. Non-Stunt Class Non-stunting or ground based teams will attend this class during stunt class time as well as during specialty class time. These classes offer unique and innovative ways to entertain crowds at timeouts and halftimes.
