MG CONNECTION EASTERN WASHINGTON, NORTHWEST IDAHO The President s Message By Stephanie Routt Well the garage sale was a success; the club netted $550.00 for the club treasury. I wish to thank all the members who donated and worked the two days. A big thank you goes out to Jim and Sue Holloway, for hosting the sale at their home. The weather was a bit unsettled, but cleared up to allow plenty of buyers. At our breakfast meeting we had a good discussion on future runs/tours, so keep your schedule clear to join in on one or two of them. The details are in the newsletter. We had two new members at the breakfast meeting, thanks to the web site that Thad updated; it works when we get the word out. Dave Ronnfeldt introduced new members Mike & Ardith Holtz (MG, Morgan, ERA Mini) and Dempsey Brister (1957 MGA). The Northwest British Classics car show in August will put up a Best in Show MG award if IEMGC provides judges for the event. Bob Hughes said BritBull is using the French Vote approach that seeks the popular winner, rather than concours rules, so in-depth knowledge of restorations is not necessary. Bob Hughes, Dave Madison and Charles Brennan volunteered to judge We got word during the meeting that Craig Hall is sick. Please reach out and give him a call, please respect their time and send along good thoughts and prayers. We missed all of you who could not attend, hope to see you there soon. Stephanie PAGE 1
A note from the Halls - "We have missed being involved in club activities and meetings this Winter and Spring. While we were in Arizona Craig became seriously ill, and upon return, we discovered he is struggling with a aggressive form of cancer. Whether we will be able to participate in the future or not, please know how much we have valued our friendships and adventures through the years." Ann and Craig Hall FREE****FREE****FREE****FREE****FREE****FREE****FREE****FREE Free for the taking: One used Uni-Syn carburetor adjusting tool. This belonged to my neighbor who used it when he owned a TR3 many years ago. He no longer has any use for it, and asked if anyone in the club could use it. If you are interested in having it, contact me (Thad) at hopper4363@comcast.net or 509-443-5624. PAGE 2
