Siblings are granted a 5% discount off of each student s monthly tuition. Parents and other family members are permitted to observe classes during the first class meeting of each month only. In our 33 years of teaching children, we have found that allowing your child to have the teacher s full attention will greatly increase your child s learning abilities. You will find that your child will retain classroom curriculum better and be less distracted during class time. This is especially true for the age groups of 2.5 8 year olds. If your child has special health needs, please discuss this with your instructor. If you have any other questions or concerns regarding our parent observation policy, please discuss with your instructor or contact one of our directors. Thank you for your support! CF DANCE ACADEMY PAPERLESS COMMUNICATIONS Beginning September 2016, CF Dance will be dramatically reducing our use of paper to communicate with parents and students and will be emailing all communication to parents instead of using class handouts. Please make sure you have your most recent email account on file with us and check your inbox regularly for email communications sent out by us (at least twice a week). You can also like our CF Dance Facebook page and visit our website for CF Dance news and events. Thank you for helping us reduce our impact on our planet!
This is CF Dance s Youth hip-hop crew made up of dancers ages 6-11 years old and is under the direction of Leanna Forcucci, Jessica Anderson, Sierra Ledesma and Claudia Ion. This crew was created four years ago so that our younger dancers that want to progress at a higher level can train more than once a week have a place to work on their skills with the goal of graduating to Bring the Noise Crew. Instructors emphasize more advanced staging, a higher level of performance quality, endurance and focus through longer classes and teamwork. PANDEMONIUM CREW This award winning, hip-hop crew is the place to go for our more serious pre-teen/teenage hip-hop dancers that have just started their dance training. This crew trains, rehearses and competes just like our other crews, but much of the focus of their training is based on pushing them to bridge the gap between themselves and dancers their age that have been training for years. BRING THE NOISE crew This is CF Dance s mega hip-hop crew made up of dancers ages 7-18 years old and is under the direction of Leanna Forcucci and assisted by Nicole Russo, CJ Jensen, Claudia Ion, Sierra Ledesma and Skylar Van- Denburg. This multi-award winning crew trains year round for many special performances and competes every year at Collaborations SoCal, Urban Street Jam and Kids Artistic Review. This crew represents one of the main things CF Dance hip-hop has always been all about; training large groups of very young hip-hop dancers to perform at a higher level than expected and to have the ability to translate their craft authentically in class and on stage while still being kids! While training to put together their new piece each year, these dancers get the opportunity to train with many of the dance industry s finest choreographers and instructors. K-mot10n and Klassified Under the direction of Leanna Forcucci, CJ Jensen and Claudia Ion, these pre-professional companies trains with the goal of being industry ready for a dance career. These dancers have advanced skill levels in hip -hop will be trained throughout the year with many of the LA Dance Industry s finest choreographers and instructors. K-mot10n & Klassified were featured performers in Kidz Carnival Industry Showcase in Hollywood this July and will compete their piece at MaxtOut in November. Fullerton Youth Ballet Under the direction of Jennifer Forcucci-Marzluf, students audition into this program every year and are accepted at the Junior and Senior levels. These dancers train for principal roles in our Annual Nutcracker Ballet and Spring Showcase and also do one competition a year. In Winter 2013, they took 3rd Place in the Large Ensemble category at the Youth America Grand Prix and were invited to participate in competition finals in New York City. In Winter 2017, they took 3rd place for Large Ensenble again at YAGP and traveled to NYC for finals. Dancers that are part of the Senior Company also have the opportunity to be chosen to participate in our Competitive Soloist Program. Parent and me Parent and child will participate together in this class designed to involve the parent in the very beginning process of dance training with your child. This class will include creative pre-school exercises, song and dance routines, and dance related games. Tiny Tot Creative Ballet Look Mommy, I m in my first dance class! Children will be introduced to basic ballet movements while developing coordination, body control, and self-discipline. Ballet and Tap Combination Classes Children will learn and continue to develop the beginning techniques of ballet and tap dancing, as well as improve their coordination, posture, balance, and gracefulness in this class. Students will be placed into level of class based on age or by ability (recommendation of the teacher required if student is younger than the required age). Pre-Primary Combination classes will introduce dancers to the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Program. Cecchetti Classical Ballet Program The Cecchetti Method is a disciplined system of ballet instruction designed with careful regard for the laws of anatomy. The Cecchetti trained student is better able to absorb the basic principles which govern the art rather than the mere imitation of an individual's teaching style. Programs include weekly technique classes for beginning thru professional levels, weekend workshops, yearly ballet examinations and annual Summer International Ballet Seminars. Based on international standards, examinations are designed to give students and instructors of the Cecchetti Method a greater sense of purpose while ensuring that each level has been successfully accomplished before progressing to the next. Pre-Pointe and Pointe Dancers will learn how to work with a thera-band in order to improve foot and ankle strength. The instructor will also focus on core strengthening exercises, barre exercises and some beginning center work. This class is recommended and open to all dancers needing to improve their foot and core strength. Dancers taking this class in demi or full pointe shoes are required to take at least 2 hours of technique class and 2 hours of pointe class per week. Demi and/or Pre-pointe shoes are recommended by the instructor only but not required to take this class. Hip-Hop A high energy class that uses the latest sounds in rap, R&B and pop music together with original movements and grooves or steps that have their base in jazz/funk. Techniques are taught through learning choreography that is appropriate for each level of class. Hip hop is urban, it s street, it s diverse and forever changing. Contemporary Contemporary or Lyrical is a hybrid of ballet, jazz, lyrical and modern dance styles. It is a ballet-based technique that allows a greater range of movement. This class focuses on centering, strengthening the body, increasing flexibility, improving balance, proper placement, body alignment, fluidity and emotion. Jazz A dance form full of rhythm, syncopation, passion and life. Classes explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, rib cage, feet and arms and encourage individual expression. Jazz can be powerful and percussive or expressive and lyrical. Ever evolving, jazz dance is taught with the music of today together with the classical jazz of yesterday. Breakdancing Students will be introduced to and trained in the beginning elements of breakdancing which include the toprock, downrock, freezes, and power moves. Everybody dance now This new program at CF Dance is a dance class designed for dancers with special needs. The one hour weekly class will include 45 minutes of dance instruction followed by 15 minutes of socialization time with students, parents, instructors and peer buddies. Tap Tap training enhances rhythmic dynamics, speed, and agility. Traditional and contemporary tap styles are taught with a focus on total body movement, technical correctness and performance quality. Dancers study basic to advanced tap terminology, technique, rhythm, coordination, and style.
