Horses must provide proof of age with their entry unless they are recorded with the Young Jumper Program. Entries for horses without proof of age will not be accepted. Classes for 6 and 7-year-olds will count towards qualifying for the Young Jumper Finals for those horses that are recorded only. You may record at the show in the horse show office, registration papers or other form of proof of age is required. Declarations to compete must be made no later than 4:00 p.m. the day before the class is held. Entries in the Young Jumper divisions may not have ever shown in Open Jumper Classes offering $25,000 or more in prize money. Silver Oak Jumper Tournament SUBMISSION, ACCEPTANCE AND REFUSAL OF ENTRIES Every entry at a Licensed Competition constitutes an agreement that the person making it, owner, lessee, trainer, manager, agent, coach, rider, and the horse are subject to the Bylaws and the rules of the Federation and the local rules of the competition The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament. Participants utilizing an online entry system for a Licensed Competition do so with the agreement that they have read the Official Prize List and agree to follow all the class specifications, requirements and conditions in the Official Prize List The Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, Internet, film, new media or other likenesses of any exhibitor taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the Competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and shall not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4. Any action instituted against this Competition or Competition Management, including its principals and agents, must be filed in the State of New Hampshire. CLOSING DATE The Entry close date is August 1, 2018 If entries must be limited, they will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, selected by post- mark date. No telephone, fax, or emailed entries will be accepted. Entries postmarked and accepted after the closing date of entries will be accessed a $35.00 late fee. Entries accepted after Aug 1 will be accessed a $50 late fee. No entry will be accepted unless it is accompanied by a check for stalls and nomination fees and unless it is signed by the owner or his/her authorized agent, and by the trainer. EXHIBITORS WILL NOT RECEIVE THEIR NUMBERS UNTIL A METHOD OF PAYMENT AND SIGNATURES ARE PROVIDED. NIGHT WATCH All horses occupying a stall, whether showing or not, will be required to pay a fee of $15.00 per horse night watch fee. This service is provided as a courtesy to exhibitors. Competition Management is NOT responsible for any failure to perform the service by the service provider. Emergency contact name and phone should be posted on the stall door. NOMINATIONS, DECLARATIONS INFORMATION A Nomination Fee of $250.00 must be paid by the closing date of Entries. Horses scratched 24 hours prior to the start of the show are eligible for a 50% refund of the nomination fee. Postnomination Fee of $300 for entries received after closing date. Nominated Jumper Sections: 1.20m, 1.25m, 1.30m, 1.35m, 1.40m, Junior/Amateur Owner Low, Junior/Amateur Owner Medium, Junior/Amateur Owner High, Welcome Stake, Speed Derby, Speed Stake, Grand Prix, and Young Jumpers. EXCEPTION: Horses showing in otherwise non-nominated sections may show in one 1.20m class without being subject to the nominating fee. Nonnominated Jumper Sections: 1.00m, 1.10m, Child/Adult and Low Child/Adult and Master s division. Nominated Jumpers must declare in the Show Office on the appropriate form no later than the day before the class is to be held and no later than 5:00 PM. Silver Oak Jumper Tournament POLING & ANIMAL WELFARE Manual poling and use of offsets are prohibited. Any rider or trainer found poling or using offsets and/or who, in the opinion of the judges or committee, uses their whip or spurs in an excessive manner, will be immediately eliminated from the class where the incident occurred, be suspended from further showing for a twenty-four hour period and will forfeit all entry fees for that class. Any horse upon which a violation of the manual poling and/or use of bamboo offset rule is perpetrated will be suspended from competition for a twenty-four hour period starting from the time of incident and forfeit all entry fees. Further violations by that exhibitor on the same horse or another horse will result in said exhibitor being barred from any further competition at this show. All incidents may be reported by the USEF Steward to the USEF for possible further investigations. GRAND PRIX RULES The order of go for the Grand Prix will be the reverse order of placements in the Welcome Stake. The times and faults in the first round of those horses who completed but were not placed in the Welcome Stake, will determine their order of go. There will be a separate draw for those horses that did not complete the course in the Welcome Stake and they will go before those horses that completed the Welcome Stake. An additional draw will be used for horses that did not enter the Welcome; these horses will go before those horses that entered the Welcome Stake. The Welcome Stake winner will go last. PRIZE MONEY, NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS AND CANADIAN CHECKS Prize Money will be awarded to the recipient of record on the entry form provided there is a valid US social security number or a federal identification number. Prize money will be applied to exhibitor account; any amounts earned in excess of fees will be mailed within 30 days of the completion of the show. International competitors will be required to submit appropriate information. Checks returned by the bank for any reason incurs a penalty of $100 or 10 % of the face value of the check. CANADIAN CHECKS: The legend U.S. Funds must be preprinted on the face of any Canadian check drawn on a Canadian bank and used to pay any fees for Jumper Tournament. There will also be a $25 fee added to all Canadian check s to cover the bank-handling fee. Canadian exhibitors are urged to contact their banking institution prior to sending entries, as entries received that do not adhere to this policy will cause delay in processing. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. Rules & Regulations A limited number of patron tables are available for Sunday, August 20, 2018. They include white-linen and lunch. Tickets are available at www.silveroakjumpertournament.com MEDICAL WASTE Sharps must be placed in the Sharps container provided. Anyone found discarding sharps in any other manner will be fined up to $250.00 per instance. Additional Sharps containers may be found at the Show Office. VETERINARIAN The Official Show Veterinarian will be on the Show grounds during hours of competition. The telephone number will be posted in the Show Office. LUNGING All lunging will be restricted to designated areas. Lunging will not be permitted on the showing field or in the ring at any time. DAMAGES All owners and exhibitors shall be held responsible for any damages incurred by them, their agent or employee to stalls, buildings and other properties on the Show grounds and shall be billed accordingly. CHAMPIONSHIPS Championships will be awarded in all sections containing 3 or more classes. Points to be 10-6-4-2-1-1/2 except the final class of the division which will be a bonus points class with point values at 15-9-6-3-2-1. All ties will be broken by placing in the bonus points class. FOOTING The Grand Prix Ring for the Grand Prix Ring are grass. The Grand Prix Ring is 485 x 500. Adjacent to the Grand Prix Ring is a sand and GGT fabric warm up ring measuring 200 by 160. Competitors are asked to begin warming up for Grand Prix ring classes in the adjacent warm-up area. Ring Two is a sand and GGT fabric all weather ring, 300 X160 and there are two sand and GGT based warm up rings at the east and west ends of Ring 2 allowing ample and non-congested MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions. DOGS No dogs or other pets are allowed on the grounds unless they are on a leash and under control at all times. Unrestrained pets may be impounded and released only upon payment of a $50.00 fine. Loose dogs are also subject to USEF Penalties. MANAGEMENT LIABILITY The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, its owner, employees, agents and sponsors shall not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage to any animal, person or property which may occur for any reason during the show and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor hold the Show Management, its owners, agents, employees, contractors and sponsors as well as the USEF, blameless for any accident or loss which may occur by fire or otherwise. RULES Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.
