Frequently Asked Questions Panther Points What is the Panther Point System? The UNI Athletics priority point system Panther Points is intended to promote fairness, generate support for Panther Scholarship Club (PSC) members and rewards supporters. This system also provides an incentive for beginning, renewing and increasing participation as an athletics donor and season ticket holder. Panther Points allows for the objective allocation of benefits that exist in limited quantities, such as: season ticket location, away game ticket allocations, and distribution of tickets to postseason events. The system is administered collaboratively by the staff of the UNI Ticket Office and the PSC. What comes first in terms of seating, donor levels or donor rank? DONOR LEVEL FIRST, DONOR RANK SECOND. When it comes to allocating benefits, such as a reseat or away game allocations, your PSC Donor Level will be taken into consideration first, and then your Panther Point total will be used to determine your Donor Rank within your PSC Donor Level. Your PSC Donor Level will be based on which level you pledge. This system allows the Panther Scholarship Club to more effectively reward our active annual fund donors for their loyalty and all their efforts to make our athletics program one of the best in the nation. How are Panther Points determined? Points will be earned both on an annual and one-time basis. Annual points are cumulative and are earned each year. Onetime base points are determined on previous giving history and carry over each year. This process meshes loyalty with the importance of donation levels. Members will be informed of their point totals annually, and as requested to the PSC office. Panther Points will be earned in the following manner: One-time Panther Points are awarded to PSC accounts once and carry over each year: 2 Panther Points per $100 donated to any UNI Athletics account/initiative since 1993. This includes PSC, endowments, restricted giving to individual sports accounts, and capital campaigns. 1 Panther Point per every $100 in Revocable Planned Gifts and Irrevocable Planned Gifts donated to UNI Athletics. (Example: $100,000 in a planned gift = 1,000 points) 10 Panther Points for being a former UNI student-athlete 5 Panther Points for being a UNI graduate (non student-athlete) Annual Panther Points are awarded to PSC accounts each year based on the following criteria: 3 Panther Points for every $100 in cash donation to the PSC, Panther Champions and Salary Enhancement. Gifts must be made within the current fund drive year (Jan 1 Dec. 30). A pledge is not counted until the gift is received. 3 Panther Points for every $100 gift-in-kind donation to the PSC. Gifts must be made within the current fund drive year. A pledge is not counted until the gift is received. 3 Panther Points for each consecutive year of giving to the PSC. If you skip a year of donating, your consecutive years of giving to the PSC drops back to one year when you rejoin. (Since 1993) 3 Panther Points for each consecutive year of being a season ticket holder per sport (since 2008). This applies to the current season ticketed sports of football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, and wrestling. 2 Panther Points for every $100 cash or gift in-kind donation to non-psc accounts (Facilities, Endowments, Salary Enhancements). This includes any donation to UNI Athletics that does not fall under the PSC. *Panther Points are allocated to an account when a financial gift is received, not when a pledge is made. (Not including Planned Gifts)

How do I increase my donor level? The easiest way to increase your donor level via the Panther Points system is to increase your annual fund contribution to the next membership level in the Panther Scholarship Club. Not only does your gift help the betterment of our studentathletes, but it also opens access for you to many donor benefits such as season ticket location, away game ticket allocations, and distribution of tickets to postseason events. How do I increase my donor rank within a donor level? To increase your donor rank within a donor level via the Panther Points system is to give to other areas within the UNI Athletic Department. (Sport Specific giving, capital projects, scholarships, etc.) If the PSC already has donor levels, what is the purpose of Panther Points? The purpose of Panther Points is to reward PSC members and create transparent standards for all donors. In addition, a priority points system promotes annual giving by providing an objective, competitive fundraising vehicle. The point system will not replace our giving levels. You are still required to be at the specific giving levels for MVC tickets, postseason tournament tickets, parking, etc. Panther Points will allow for an organized ranking of donors within each giving level for various allocations. Will UNI Faculty/Staff and Emeritus Faculty still receive the PSC benefit ghost match? Yes, all UNI Faculty/Staff and Emeritus Faculty will receive the PSC benefit ghost match. For example, if you give $1,500 cash, you will receive UNI Pride ($3,000) level benefits. However, you will only receive points for the amount of cash you give ($1,500). What can I do if I feel my point totals are incorrect? If you feel your Panther Points total is incorrect, please contact the Panther Scholarship Club at 319-273-2471. Are Panther Points utilized in determining the location of my MVC Basketball Tournament and/or neutral site tickets? Yes. Your Panther Points total within your PSC donor giving level is utilized when allocating MVC Tournament tickets. Panther Points rankings will be awarded first by Panther Scholarship Membership Level, then by total Panther Points. Do McLeod Center and Human Performance Center contributions count toward my Panther Points total? Yes. Individuals making gifts to these projects and other athletics capital projects receive credit in the lifetime giving portion of their account provided they are current donors to the PSC. You must have a current annual gift in order to activate all points. When will Panther Points rankings be updated and for what purposes? Panther Points rankings will change constantly with each gift and season ticket purchase to UNI Athletics. Rankings will be used for football, basketball, wrestling & volleyball season ticket upgrades, parking locations, re-seats and postseason tournaments (conference & NCAA). As a new donor, how do I obtain the best benefits available? The quickest way to accumulate points is to maximize the amount of your current PSC annual gift. This will allow you to accumulate points rapidly as well as place you in the best possible position to receive PSC benefit allocations (i.e. football playoff games, MVC, & NCAA Tournaments). Based on our seating policy, our top levels will be seated first and we will work our way down through the levels.

I am not exactly sure how the points system works and how my points are calculated. Who can I talk to? If you have specific or more detailed questions about the Panther Points system or would like more information on ways to increase your Panther Points total, please contact the PSC office at 319-273-2471. Does this mean there are no longer any minimum seat donation requirements for football and men s basketball? No. The minimums were put in place to ensure that our best donors are sitting in the best seats, while adding value to the premium sections in each building. The minimums will remain in place for the foreseeable future. Will my priority points be able to be passed down to my children? No. Panther Points have no tangible value. They are not property that can be sold, traded or given. It is simply a point total to be used as a guide for the PSC and Panther Athletics to rank donors in priority order for the purposes of seating and certain benefit allocation. In the case of death, Panther Points will automatically remain with the surviving spouse, if applicable, and will not be allowed to be transferred in any other manner. Tickets for Special Events/Neutral Sites, Conference Tournaments & NCAA Tournaments Special Event/Neutral Site, Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and NCAA Basketball Tournaments tickets are allocated according to Panther Scholarship Club level and Panther Points within that level while supplies last. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual may purchase; however, there will be a limit to the number of tickets that will be based on their Panther Points. For example, a Leadership member purchases 12 tickets to the MVC Tournament, 10 of those 12 tickets will be placed in the best available seats possible. The maximum limits are based on current PSC level and are as follows, based on availability: Tickets for Special Events/Neutral Sites, Conference & NCAA Tournaments LEVEL AMOUNT MAXIMUM # of Tickets (Best Available) Leadership $25,000 10 Platinum $13,000 8 Diamond $8,000 6 Scholarship $4,100 6 UNI Pride $3,000 4 VIP $2,100 4 Directors $1,600 4 Gold $1,200 4 Purple $600 2 Coaches $350 2 Loyalty $50 2

Frequently Asked Questions Men s Basketball Reseat What is a reseat? During years of a reseat, all season ticket holders are required to select new basketball seating locations. During the reseating years, we do not offer the option of keeping the seat locations you had last year, so you must reselect seats. If your current seats are available at your time of select, you may then have the option of selecting those seats again. Why are we having a reseat? We will be conducting a reseat every 2-3 years so that donors can have the best possible seating options as a benefit of their Panther Points. The last reseat took place when the McLeod Center was built. Since that time, our donors and season ticket holders have gotten to know the layout of the arena and have expressed likes and dislikes pertaining to different areas. Reseating also allows donors to move groups together or add new seats. Many donors find a reseat is the best time to look at upgrading their gifts in order to better their seat location. This is very important for us as we must continue to raise funds in order to pay for student-athlete scholarships. A full student-athlete scholarship, including tuition, room, board, books and fees, is now valued at over $17,000 in-state and over $23,000 out-of-state. Without gifts to the Panther Scholarship Club to help fund scholarship expenses, our student-athletes could be negatively impacted. How does the reseasting work? All Panther Scholarship Club members will be ranked in accordance to the Panther Points system. DONOR LEVEL FIRST, followed by DONOR RANK SECOND. We will base your PSC Donor Level on where you pledge for 2018. The Panther Scholarship Club will then assign seat selection times based on these rankings. How do I qualify for the reseat? To qualify for the reseat, all men's basketball season ticket holders must have made a payment on their season tickets AND make a payment on your 2018 Panther Scholarship Club gift by the July 1, 2018 deadline. After the deadline, we will rank all season ticket holders according to the Panther Points system. Donor level first, donor rank second. What happens if I cannot maintain my PSC contribution next year? In order to retain the seat location of your priority season tickets from year to year, after the reseat, you MUST maintain or increase your PSC Membership Level. If you decease your PSC Membership Level, your season tickets will be subject to be reassignment by the PSC & UNI Ticket Office. Can I keep my existing seats? All season ticket holders, regardless of donation or priority ranking, must re-select their seats. All seat history will be erased for the reseat, and every seat in the arena will be available to be selected during the reseat. If your current seats are available at your time of select, you may then have the option of selecting those seats again. How can I be assured good seats in the McLeod Center? The McLeod reseating plan gives PSC members control over their seats. There are several ways one can improve their seating assignment based on the accumulation of Panther Points. Quickest way is increase your giving level within the PSC. How do I select my season ticket locations with my friends? In an effort to be fair to all of our PSC members, the group will be able to select their seats at the time of the PSC member with the latest selection time. Please be sure to notify the PSC office that you will be passing on your selection time so that you can pick at a later time with a friend.

What effect will this plan have on my seat location? It all depends on your Panther Points rank among all PSC members. If your current seats are available at your assigned selection time, you are free to claim them. How do I renew my men s basketball season tickets? During the renewal process, you will be purchasing the quantity and price level of your tickets, rather than individual seats. During the renewal process, donors can increase/decrease their quantity and change their price level. Website to renew is www.unipanthers.com/renew What if my seats do not require a donation? All seats in the arena, not just donation obligated seating, will go through the full reseat process. Although some season ticket holders are not active Panther Scholarship Club members, we hope this will encourage everyone to invest in our success and join the team. All Panther Scholarship Club members will be seated first based on their donor level and donor rank second. Then all non-psc men s basketball season ticket holders will be contacted after the seat selection night to select their seats. The order in which you are contacted will be at the discretion of the UNI Athletics Staff. What are the deadlines associated with the reseat? Panther Scholarship Club renewals will be emailed/mailed in early February, and followed up with a direct mail piece for any outstanding balances on May 15. Panther Scholarship Club members will have until July 1 st to make a payment on their gift and on your men s basketball season tickets in order to be considered for the reseat. How do I select my seats? All season ticket holders will pick out their seats in person at the McLeod Center the week of July 30 - August 3, 2018. You will not be able to select your seats until your specific time. More information will follow in the renewal period detailing dates and times of your reseat selection. Also, there is no limit to the number of season tickets an individual may purchase. However, there will be a limit to the number of season tickets selected during the seat selection night events. If a PSC member wishes to purchase additional seats above and beyond their maximum, they may do so after all PSC members have finished the seat selection process. The maximum limits are based on current PSC level and are as follows: 2018-2019 Men s Basketball Reseat LEVEL AMOUNT MAXIMUM # of Tickets Leadership $25,000 16 Platinum $13,000 14 Diamond $8,000 12 Scholarship $4,100 10 UNI Pride $3,000 8 VIP $2,100 6 Directors $1,600 6 Gold $1,200 6 Purple $600 4 Coaches $350 4 Loyalty $50 2

What does you may not leave a single unoccupied seat mean? It means you can t leave a seat at the end of a row or between two occupied seats. This ensures more fans who go together can sit together. When will I select my seats? After the renewal deadline of July 1 st, the Panther Scholarship Club will pull the donor ranking and assign appointment times to all Men s Basketball season ticket holders. Appointment times will be communicated the early July, via email and direct mail. The reseat will be held the week of July 30 August 3. How do I select my seats? Once you receive your appointment time, you will have the following options: 1) Select your seats in person at McLeod Center during your selection time. 2) Designate someone to select your seats for you (a form will be included with your appointment time in which you may designate an individual). Can I designate a member of the UNI Athletics staff to pick my seats for me? UNI Athletics staff members can assist in the reseat process. You will need to provide your top 3-5 choices for your seat allocations. If those seat locations are already selected, the UNI Athletics staff member will select the best available seats near your desired location. Based on this system, if you have a UNI Athletics staff member select your seat, you will take full responsibility for the locations. What if I miss the July 1 st deadline to purchase my tickets and to make my Panther Scholarship Club gift? You will still be eligible to select seats, but your selection will take place after the priority reseat. What's my next step? As we draw near an end for this Panther Scholarship Club campaign, renewals will be sent beginning in February 2018. We want to present you with this information as you are considering your giving level for the 2018-19 Men's Basketball year. Online season ticket renewal will begin in February and your season tickets order form will be mailed out early May 2018 if you haven t renewed by then. You will have until July 1, 2018 to submit your ticket order and renew your PSC membership to be included in the reseat. Please remember that Panther Points will be based on donor LEVEL first, donor RANK second. What about Men s Basketball Courtside Seats? The donation minimum & maximum number of tickets to purchase for Men s Basketball courtside seats are as follows. Plus the cost of the season tickets and based on availability: LEVEL AMOUNT MAXIMUM # of Courtside Tickets Leadership $25,000 8 Platinum $13,000 6 Diamond $8,000 4 Scholarship $4,100 2

How can I purchase two (2) Men s Basketball courtside tickets? First, to be able to purchase two (2) men s basketball courtside tickets, you need to be part of the Panther Scholarship Club at the Scholarship Level or higher. Then you can go ahead and purchase your two-courtside seats, if they are available during your selection time at the seat selection night. What if I have additional questions? Panther Scholarship Club will be hosting several Town Hall and/or Open Houses to answer any questions regarding Panther Points, PSC Levels and the Men's Basketball Reseat. Please be on the lookout for these dates and times.
