Our goal is to offer you a superior golf, dining, and banquet experience through excellence in customer service, superb golf course and clubhouse conditions, and a commitment to provide an atmosphere for all to enjoy. We appreciate and thank you all for your commitment to Four Oaks Country Club. Please take the time to review our Member Policies and Procedures. The Club s membership rules, regulations, policies and operational procedures as contained in this member handbook will be formulated and edited each season by the Club s management. As a member, you are invited to make suggestions about the editing of content in your member handbook by contacting the Head Golf professional at amartinho@fouroakscountryclub.com. Four Oaks Country Club (the Club ), through its authorized agents, reserves the right to be the sole body which may interpret, enforce or apply any rule, regulation, or policy of the Club. All members, Dracut residents, guests, and non-members of the Club are subject to all of the rules, regulations, and policies of the Club as set forth in this member handbook each golf season without exception. Four Oaks Country Club reserves the right to alter, revise, add, delete, and/or modify its member handbook and/or to change any rules, regulations, policies, membership rates, services, operating hours, and/or day-to-day operational procedures at any time at its sole discretion. Definitions: Good Standing- A member in good standing is a member who has no past due accounts with the Club (greater than 30 days) and/or who is not in breach of any Club rule, regulation and/or policy. Unbecoming Action- Unbecoming Action includes, but is not limited to, use of profanity, violent or abusive behavior, defacing, damaging or destroying Club property, refusing to comply with any directive of the Club, disregard for the rights and comforts others and/or making public derogatory, hurtful and/or improper remarks about any employee, member or guest/nonmember of Four Oaks Country Club. Basic Provisions to all Club Memberships and Policies: Membership to Four Oaks Country Club may only be granted by the Club through its authorized agents.
Membership agreements or contracts are to be in writing and signed by an authorized Club representative. The Club s golf season begins on or about April 1 st (weather permitting) and ends on or about December 1 st (weather permitting). The Club reserves the right to contract out the Club s facilities (to outside outings and events ) without compensation to the membership, in whole or part, for its own business purposes, throughout the year. Membership does not imply or confer any ownership rights, equity interest, management rights, or privileges to, any member, non-member, or other person. The Club reserves the right to refuse service to, any member or non-member of the club for any reason at any time at its sole discretion Good order, proper attire, and consideration for the rights and comforts of others must be observed at all times and in all places while on the Club s premises. Any member who conducts themselves in an unbecoming manner and/or whose membership is not in good standing, may be denied service and/or may have their membership suspended or terminated, in whole or in part at the sole discretion of the Club. The Rules, Regulations, and Policies of Four Oaks Country Club: Alcoholic Beverages: Only alcoholic beverages purchased from the Club s beverage concession areas may be possessed and/or consumed on Club property. Personal Coolers are not permitted. Membership Re-Newel Policy: The membership agreement/contract is a one year agreement with the Club. The Club will offer current members 1 st right to re-new their membership, before offering memberships to those on the waiting list or non-members. A date will be selected and communicated to current members at the end of each golf season. Conditions of Play: The Club s Professional Golf Staff shall set all conditions of play on the golf course and for all practice facilities. Dress Code: Four Oaks Country Club is a spike less golf facility. Acceptable attire for men, women, and guests will be that which is accepted by the PGA, LPGA, and USGA. Unacceptable attire includes all denim, high top sneakers, any type of sandal on the golf course, tee shirts, tank tops, any top with bold commercial type advertising (logos are acceptable), running shorts, and sweat pants. Shorts, skirts, and skorts should be of reasonable length. Practice Area: The practice area is open to all members (included in your membership) and non-members upon receipt of greens fees. Handicap Flag Use: Handicap flag use is allowed at the sole discretion of the Four Oaks Country Club s professional golf staff.
Member and Wine Lockers: A locker may be purchased by a member. Locker assignments are at the sole discretion of the Club. Golf clubs, golf bags, and golf equipment may not be placed in lockers or brought into the clubhouse. The Club is not responsible for damaged or lost items in the locker rooms. Lost and Stolen Personal Property: Four Oaks Country Club, its owners, staff, and agents are not responsible for any articles or valuables lost or stolen anywhere on Club property. Membership Policy: Four Oaks Country Club is an equal opportunity golf facility. No person may be refused membership by way of their race, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, or religious beliefs. Cell Phones: Cellular telephone use is restricted to silent mode while on Club property. Cell phone use by others should not interfere with any person s enjoyment of any of the Club s facilities anywhere on Club property at any time. Power Golf Cars: Golf cars are rented and used at each renters own risk. Golf cars must be signed for each time they are used for each round of golf. All posted signs on the course, all posted information on the golf cars and all operational procedures listed in the pro shop and on the golf cars must be observed and adhered to at all times. The Club reserves the right to restrict or refuse the use of a power golf car to any individual at any time at its sole discretion. A valid driver s license is required to operate a golf car on Four Oaks Country Club property. Practice on the Course: Practice or second shots not allowed under the Rules of Golf are not permitted. Pull Carts: Pull carts are not allowed within 10 yards of all greens, tees, and fringe areas. Please do not pull or push a cart between a bunker and a green. Rules of Play: United States Golf Association rules shall govern all golf play on the golf course except where modified by the committee as stated on your Local Rules sheet. Pace of Play/Rangers: Position on the golf course must be maintained at all times except when allowing faster players to play through. Four Oaks Country Club has deemed 4 hours and 30 minutes to be the limit for an 18 hole round. The professional golf staff and rangers will monitor pace of play. Tee Times: Tee time reservations may be made (14) days in advance by any member in good standing. Four Oaks Country Club reserves the right to alter, modify, or suspend tee times and tee access at any time and for any reason. When playing with a guest, tee time reservations may be made (7) days in advance.
10 th Tee Policy: Starting on the 10 th tee shall not be permitted without the prior permission of the pro shop. Please check-in with the pro shop if you wish to start play on the 10 th tee. Merchandise Credit Book Policy: Pro shop credit is a reflection in the amount of pro shop merchandise a member may be awarded for a particular tournament by means of a prize voucher, gift certificate, or pro shop credit. In keeping with the USGA policy, it is not considered cash and may not be exchanged for cash. Pro shop credit must be used by the end of each golf season.
