U11 Pairs Match Thursday, 18 th August, 2016 Venue: Civil Service CC Winners of the U11 Girls Pair Match were Lucy McDonough (Phoenix) and Ishita Gupta (CSCC). New Venture U13 Camp On the back of the success of the U11 Girls Camp the last two years, Cricket Leinster initiated a Cricket Leinster camp for U13 girls. This ran for 3 days, 15 th 18 th August. You can see the coaches and some players involved in the picture to the right of this paragraph. Gratitudes These activities would not have been possible without the support of the County Councils, along with Sport Ireland s Women In Sport (WIS) funding. Each year there are a number of coaches that help out and kindly give their time to ensure these events run smoothly, including all the interprovincial trainings and matches prior to the main fixtures and camps. Amy Kenealy, Brían O'Rourke, Diarmuid Lynch, Fintan McAlister, Jenny Gray, Laura Erskine, Naomi Scott-Hayward, Rob O'Connor and Vanessa Kelada. Thank you also to players that have come up through the Cricket Leinster youth programme, Anna Kerrison and Riley Shoebridge, who assisted at some trainings and matches after completing the Cricket Ireland Welcome to Coaching Course during the 2015/16 off season. Delighted to be able to give these shadowing opportunities to coaches coming through the coaching pathway. Thank you to the clubs that have supported the hosting of inter-provincial matches, trainings, the North wales fixture, the U11s Camp and inaugural U13s Camp. Namely: Civil Service, Clontarf, Greystones, Malahide, Merrion, Pembroke and Rush. Report written by: Naomi Scott-Hayward Cricket Leinster naomi.scotthayward@cricketleinster.ie 0857464590 Page 6
