FOOD DRIVE: It s that time of year again where students are asking to get their grades up before the end of the semester. Well, you guys are in luck because the Student Council is doing the Food Drive again. Teachers will have a graph with the value of each item posted in classrooms. Teachers will also have the option on whether they are or aren t participating in the food drive. The drive will last until December 18 th. If you have any questions, please ask a student council member, NHS Member or Mr. Glenn! ****Kiwanis Outstanding Senior, Lara Hilpipre, for the month of November Lara is the daughter of Anna & Tony Hilpipre. She has one brother, Wright Hilpipre. Lara has attended church and Sunday School her whole life, participated in mission trips, Bible School and helping out when needed. Her work experience includes babysitting, cashier at Brooklyn Grocery, and a contractor at BASF in Malcom. Her favorite leisure activities include reading, spending time with her friends, attending school activities to support her friends and other volunteer work. School Activities she has been involved in for four years include Band, Choir, Show Choir, and Jazz Band (3 years), speech & drama also. She also attends ALPO and had been involved in cheerleading. Honors & Awards: She has been on the honor roll all 4 years. She has also been Student Council President, and a member of National Honor Society for 2 years. Lara plans to attend Hawkeye Community College after graduation and then transfer for a four year school. Lara would like to say that she is where she is today thanks to her Grandma, Dana Hashman, and Pastor, John Reynolds.
