August 29, 2009 Colorado River Regatta Thousands of outdoor, fun loving water enthusiasts are expected to invade the Colorado River for the third annual bi state inner tube regatta. This river regatta welcomes participants to ride on inner tubes and decorative, non motorized parade type floats down the Colorado River. Another regatta festivity is the kayak and canoe race that launches from Davis Camp early in the morning. Launching of the floats takes place from both sides of the river. The party starts the night before at the Ye Gotta Regatta celebration with costumed participants, live entertainment and specialty drinks. January 2010 Winter Break This annual event is a festival celebrating life for the 50+ age group and promises to motivate, educate, stimulate and offer nonstop entertainment and activities: all types of dancing including a sock hop and prom night, bingo and slot tournaments, financial lectures and healthy lifestyle screenings, exercise classes, polar bear dip in the Colorado River, and much more. January 2010 SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge Laughlin is proud to be the title series sponsor of this returning, annual event where 16 classes of desert racecars and exotic trucks compete in the six race circuit of SCORE International Off Road Racing.
