Page 3 of 5 Athlete and Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct All athletes who choose to participate in the Northeast Tacoma Tigers Football and Cheer program and activities are representatives of the organization. With the privilege of participation come certain obligations and responsibilities. Each participant must agree to the standards set forth. Acceptable standards of behavior include: Treating the opposition with respect Respect the judgment of officials and abide by the rules of the contest Play in a manner reflecting good citizenship and sportsmanship No foul or abusive language Racial or offensive slurs will not be tolerated As an individual, I will: develop my skills to the best of my abilities and give my best effort at all times; compete within the rules; respect opponents, coaches, referees, teammates and parents. As a team member, I will: place team goals ahead of personal goals; be a positive influence on team members; follow team rules established by the head coach, Northeast Tacoma Tigers and the GPSYFL. Northeast Tacoma Tigers Football and Cheer is an important part of an athlete s physical, social and emotional development. Participation in the Tigers program teaches leadership, integrity, respect and fair play. Any athlete who does not demonstrate acceptable standards of behavior as described herein will be subject to disciplinary action by their head coach and the Tacoma Tigers Board. All participants must acknowledge and indicate their understanding that disciplinary action for severe infractions could result in immediate expulsion from the program. It is essential that parents/guardians of program participants demonstrate these same acceptable standards of behavior. Parents/guardians must acknowledge that severe infractions of the standards outlined herein will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate expulsion from a Tiger game or event. As a parent/guardian registering your child in the Northeast Tacoma Tigers Football and Cheer program, we ask that you please review the code of conduct with your athlete and that both of you indicate your acceptance by signing below. Page 5 of 5 Tigers Fans, We Need YOUR Help!!! The NE Tacoma Tigers is a non-profit, 100% volunteer run, youth organization whose success is rooted in the efforts and involvement of its members. We strive to provide a quality program for over 200 children each year. But we can t do it without a lot of help from player/participant families. WE NEED YOU! Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 3 hours per child in the program to get back their refundable Volunteer Fee. The good news is... there are many, many volunteer opportunities throughout the season. Let us know what your interests are, and how you re willing to help.
