Race 6: Cafe Culture Handicap 1900m Another Al stable representative Mr M Newnham reported the gelding had pulled up well and had pleased the stable since, including its trackwork at Randwick this morning. He indicated it would be the intention to continue on with the preparation of Another Al. Race 7: TAB.com.au Handicap 1250m Echo Prince - stable representative Mr M Newnham reported the horse had pulled up well and had pleased the stable since, including its trackwork at Randwick this morning. HAWKESBURY Friday 20 November 2015 Race 3: Tile Direct Maiden Handicap 1600m Well Orchestrated trainer Mr M Conners advised, as a result of the injuries suffered to the gelding during this event, Well Orchestrated will now be retired from racing. LATE RIDING CHANGES: As D Beasley was indisposed due to injury, Stewards permitted the following riding substitutions: Race 4 Race 7 Race 9 T Clark on Captain Shazam. T Clark on Raffinato. T Clark on Leonforte. RACE 1: Kiwi Handicap 2400m Four Carat slow to begin. Rider J McDonald stated that as far out as the 800m the gelding was off the bit and was unable to quicken when taken out by Jiayuguan rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr C
2 Waller stated the only explanation he could offer for the performance was that the pace of the race did not suit Four Carat and agreed with J McDonald that the colt was left flat-footed. He undertook to report back on the progress of Four Carat subsequent to the race. Jiayuguan at the entrance to the straight was awkwardly placed on the heels of Danjeu as it shifted out to improve around that runner. Hudson County which was inclined to hang in, noticeably changed stride near the 250m. RACE 2: Jimmy "The Pumper"Cassidy Golden Gift 1100m Time And Chance slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the colt, which raced greenly throughout, did not reveal any abnormalities. Jericho approaching the first turn near the 900m had to be steadied away from the heels of Good Standing (G Schofield), which shifted in when not quite clear. G Schofield was reminded of his obligations to give sufficient clearance when shifting ground. Bravissimo rider T Clark stated, he was caught wide throughout the early and middle stages, however the colt never stretched out and for this reason he elected not to put his mount under full pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be displaying a poor post-race recovery. Trainer Mr L Bridge stated that the colt had come to the end of its preparation and will be spelled. Good Standing rider G Schofield explained that over the final 200m, under pressure, the colt was inclined to race greenly and shifted its ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an old laceration and also swelling to the offside of the hock. Trainer Mr J Cummings was asked to provide a veterinary clearance and explained Good Standing had sustained the injuries several weeks ago. RACE 3: Might And Power Handicap 1400m Most Exalted jumped awkwardly. RACE 4: TAB Ross Cribb OBE Tribute Highway Handicap 1100m Nights On Fire slow to begin. Passing the 800m had to be checked off the heels of Ocean Grand. Immy slow to begin. Passing the 600m crowded for room and severely checked when City Boots laid in. Unknown Destiny knuckled over on jumping. Urban Knight for some distance passing the 800m had to be checked off the heels of Burradoo. City Boots passing the 800m laid in when being checked off the heels of Urban Knight. Ocean Grand At the 900m threw its head up when being restrained off the heels of Unknown Destiny, which in turn was steadied when City Boots shifted in. Passing the 800m had to be severely checked off the heels of Immy. Ran in badly when placed under pressure in the early stages of the straight and made contact with the running rail.
3 Legendary Luke passing the 800m badly crowded when, after being checked, Ocean Grand shifted out. Danish Lace crowded and rider K O'Hara was obliged to stop riding when the winner, itburg (J Ford), shifted in close to the line. K O'Hara indicated that in the incident Danish Lace was also reluctant to hold its position. J Ford was told to make more effort to keep his mounts straight. RACE 5: Ascend Sales Trophies Handicap 1900m Zaboss crowded on jumping by Lady Macan, which shifted out. At the 300m was inconvenienced when Sebrina (B Avdulla) shifted in. Whilst the Stewards accepted that Sebrina was inclined to lay in throughout the event, B Avdulla was told he must do more to keep his mounts straight. Gambler's Blues inclined to lay in and proved difficult to ride over the final 100m. Song And Laughter lost its off-hind plate in running. White Dove lost its off-fore plate in running. Brazen Moss when questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, T Huet stated his mount raced flatly and did not respond to his riding when asked to improve from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed gelding to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Cotrainer Mr Peter Snowden stated that Brazen Moss would be spelled and undertook to furnish to the Stewards the results of an ECG prior to the gelding being required to trial. Now's The Time rider G Schofield was spoken to concerning returning to scale 0.3 kilograms underweight. RACE 6: Schweppes Farewells Jimmy Cassidy Handicap 1400m Better Not Blue overraced in the early and middle stages. Over the concluding stages laid in badly and rider app J Taylor had to desist from riding her mount out, as Better Not Blue commenced to take the ground of God's In Him. Lost its off-fore plate in running. Wine Tales had to be restrained when held up on the heels of God's In Him. God's In Him held up on the heels of the tiring Medcaut rounding the home turn. Medcaut when questioned, J McDonald stated the gelding took up a forward position without any pressure travelling well, but gave ground very quickly rounding the home turn and entering the straight, whereby he was not happy with its action. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr J O'Shea was told Medcaut must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. RACE 7: Thoroughbred Breeders NSW Handicap 1400m All Cerise slow to begin. Held up on the back of Fitou rounding the home turn. Unequivocal bumped with Magic Of Dreams on jumping.
4 Magic Of Dreams bumped with Unequivocal on jumping. App. K Jennings, rider of the winner, Festivity, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he shifted in near the first turn when insufficiently clear of Magic Of Dreams, resulting in Magic Of Dreams being taken in onto All Salsa, causing both Magic Of Dreams and All Salsa to be hampered. In the incident Raffinato had to be steadied off the heels of All Salsa and Fitou, which was following, was hampered as a consequence. After taking into account App. Jennings' guilty plea and his prior good record, he was suspended for a period of three meetings to commence on Sunday, 29 November 2015 and to expire on Friday, 4 December 2015, on which day he may ride. Passing the 100m Magic Of Dreams had to be steadied when that runner ran in away from All Cerise, as All Cerise improved past that gelding. Unequivocal at the 250m was hampered when Hetty Heights (B Avdulla) shifted out. B Avdulla was reprimanded and told to exercise more care. Raffinato lost its near-hind plate in running. RACE 8: Chris Waller Racing Farewells Jim Cassidy Handicap 1100m Huka Eagle knuckled over on jumping away. Held up in the early part of the straight. Freeze The Charges struck the running rail at the 800m. RACE 9: ATC Farewells Jimmy Cassidy Handicap 1500m Get On The Grange stood flat-footed and missed the start (5L). Trainer Mr A Kehoe was told a warning would be placed on the gelding. Nazir Binary jumped in at the start and hampered Nazir. App. B Loy was spoken to concerning shifting in after travelling 200m and inconveniencing Nazir and Thermogenic. Thermogenic rider App. B Loy (Diamondsinthenight) was reprimanded for shifting out and hampering Thermogenic near the 200m. Siegfried rider C Reith stated that the only tangible excuse he could offer for the performance was, from his wide barrier, he had to make some use of the gelding to go forward. He added Siegfried travelled well in the run, but compounded under its big weight of 60 kilograms. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Mary Lou a post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the nearside stifle. GENERAL: Sir Plush - trainer Mr B Baker reported the gelding bled from one nostril at Warwick Farm on Tuesday, 17 November 2015. Sir Plush will be required to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to its next race start. Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Hudson County.
