Welcome, BJ & Mary Ann. They are here in their millennium yellow C5. SECRETARY S REPORT Minutes from the July 19 th board meeting at the Walther picnic were read. The minutes were accepted as read. TREASURER S REPORT Approved as read. The insurance for the car show has been paid. The bill for the trophies/plaques is still outstanding. QUARTERMASTER S REPORT Tom & Mark have the plaques and will have them assembled and ready for Saturday. The stock of T- shirts is about the same for sale at the car show. Kim reminded Tom to set aside 2 shirts to go with the Corvette ornaments the club will donate to the Annual Lake Geneva Classic Car Rally Sept 27 & 28. ADVERTISING REPORT Bruce did contact the Chicago Tribune and Milwaukee Journal. Both required money up front and a minimum of $160 a day for an ad to run three days. He finally placed an ad in the Advertiser only. Meetings are the 1 st Sunday of the Month At Ron s Place-3301 52 nd St, Kenosha WI * Unless stated differently in the newsletter

OLD BUSINESS Bristle Progress Days Parade Thank you Tom & Lori for having us at your home. The parade was great except for the water guns by the spectators and the hill that Dick leaves a lot of clutch on each year. Some of the spectators thought the car was on fire, but it was just smoke. Next year we will try to run single file rather than 2 x 2. The spectators are getting too close to the tires when trying to pick up candy and coming too close to the cars instead of waiting for the candy to be thrown. The local paper mentioned they liked the addition of the water to the parade. The well water was not appreciated at all. A letter has been sent extending the car owners point of view. Walther Picnic Thanks much to Tom & Sue for hosting the picnic and our car show/board meeting. Sue said everyone that did RSVP did actually show up. This was the first time. Dick said the chain jingle noise is still in the rear end of the 62. He wound up driving it around the church parking lot with some of the guys trying to figure out what it was. Tom & Sue have a garage door opener that was left in their cooler. Sue isn t sure how long it has been there. Give them a call if it is yours. Elkhorn Car Show/Swap Meet No one at the meeting went. No report. NEW BUSINESS Labor Fest Parade Mike & Donna were not at the meeting to give us an update. Tom Andrekus will try to get information to Dick this week. Keep an eye on the web site for a news bulletin on this. Sept 27 th & 28 th Lake Geneva Classic Car Rally Dick will be setting up the usual run for anyone interested in attending on Sat. Your $20 donation per car will be added to the club donation of $100. The total number of hands received the day of the run will be divided among those participating. Get your $20 to Dick no later than the Sept 7 th meeting. He will have a place set up for supper after the run. Newsletter Survey There were 11 surveys returned.
