Club Overview CGFC is a program offering teams from U10 thru U16/U18 CGFC and Crush Fastpitch is a community-based program, not an elite travel program that consists of players and families from different communities Bridge between recreation softball and high school softball Member of the Shoreline League Crush is structured under CGFC umbrella and managed by CGFC board Our Mission It is the mission of the Cedarburg Girls Fastpitch Club (CGFC) to provide girls of the Cedarburg area an opportunity to play fastpitch softball at a competitive level. CGFC is dedicated to provide the best coaching, facilities and equipment that will allow the members of the Cedarburg Crush teams to learn and enjoy the game of softball at the highest level possible.

2014 Year in Review Rebranded club & team names, logo and website - www.cedarburgfastpitch.com Added social media presence on Twitter - @CedarburgCrushFP Offered team spirit wear through Burghardt s Offered winter practice sessions at Bigler s Sports in Cedarburg Utilized Willowbrooke Park for practices and games Participated at CGFC Day at CHS Varsity softball game Raised over $7,000 through Spring, Fall and Concession Fundraisers Teams played in over 100+ games during June and July For first time, multiple teams played in fall ball league this past September For 2015, offering 6 teams with 65+ girls in the program, up 80% in just 2 years None of this is possible without the support from Parents, Family Members, Sponsors and the City of Cedarburg. Erin Mann CHS Varsity Head Coach Entering 2 nd year as varsity head coach at CHS Physical Education and Health Teacher at CHS Coach with fastpitch softball program at B.A.T.S. Sports Academy based in Mequon Four year letter winner at Lockport Township High School (Lockport, IL), earning All-state / All-area selections, and a 2004 Illinois State Championship Earned a full scholarship and was a four-year starter for the Northwestern University Softball team as a catcher/outfielder. Earned a second degree in physical education and health from Northeastern Illinois University

Team Coaches Each head coach candidate goes through interview process with sub-committee of CGFC board Selection of head coaches based on specific criteria Background checks conducted by 3rd party Assistant Coaches are selected by Head Coach or assigned by CGFC board Coaches will be trained to teach philosophies and fundamentals consistent with the CHS varsity program U16/U18 Head Coach member of CHS softball coaching staff

Player and Family Expectations Players are expected to: Participate in Crush softball as primary sport during summer season Attend at least 85% of Crush scheduled in-season practices Attend at least 85% of Crush games Girls who do not attend practices/games can expect to receive less playing time Show up on time, stay for full game and practices Proper notification to coaches of conflicts as soon as possible to allow further arrangements if required. Families should support daughters and team by attending games and volunteering to assist

Off season Practice Opportunities Practice Schedule Team indoor practices/clinics start in December March o o o Practices at Bigler s Sports in Cedarburg Focus on Pitching/Catching and Hitting/Fielding All current practice information will be on the website - www.cedarburgfastpitch.com Pitching lessons with Teri Green from B.A.T.S. Sports Academy o o Crush Weekly Group Lessons available for advanced pitchers (U12 and older) at BATS Crush Monthly Clinics for beginner / intermediate pitchers (U11 and younger) at Bigler s from Jan-March In season Team Practices at Willowbrooke Park in Cedarburg

Games and Tournaments Games scheduled from May thru July U10 Dev 8+ games, U10 15+ games, U11 / U12 25+ games, U14 and U16/18 30+ Schedule is a mix of Shoreline games and tournaments Shoreline games weeknights and weekends depending on field availability Shoreline games are typically doubleheaders but some single games Number of tournaments will vary team to team Potential overnight tournaments for some teams Schedule is finalized by March 1 st

Playing Time Goal is to provide playing time for all girls on roster Positions based on skill, aptitude, knowledge, physical maturity Shoreline games are typically used for player development Tournament games are play to win and advance For younger teams, strong preference is to use continuous batting order all girls on roster should bat in game Some U12, U14 and U16/18 tournaments permit limited player participation, substitution, batting

Club Fees Player fee for 2015 will be: $85 for each U10 Development player $150 for each U10 player $200 for each U11/U12 player $225 for each U14 player $300 for each U16/U18 player Fee is due to be paid in full by December 1 st, 2014. If you require additional time to pay this fee. Please contact a CGFC board member and arrangements can be made Fees help cover the following expenses: game/practice field rentals, winter practice gym rentals, umpire fees, equipment replacements, team tournament entry fees, and club indemnity insurance

Fundraisers Fundraisers help pay our expenses to allow us to keep player fees down. Two focused fundraisers each year; Fall and Spring Fall is selling items through Raising the Steaks, Inc o Minimum of 8 items to be sold by each player Spring is selling gift certificates to Groth s Country Gardens o Minimum of 8 $25 certificates to be sold by each player Opt out of fundraising options o o $75 donation to waive one $125 donation to waive both Sell concessions at home games

Volunteers Volunteers are key to the success of the club Parents of players are expected to volunteer 4-6 hours per season helping out: Fundraising Concessions Field Prep Scoreboard (Varsity Field only) Online sign-up available in spring Select your dates or dates will be assigned Coordinators for concession, field prep, fundraisers are needed. Please contact a CGFC board member if interested

U10 Dev players: Uniforms Team t-shirts will be included as part of the player fee and the girls will be able to keep at the end of the year U10, U11, U12, U14 and U16/U18 players: Uniform shirt and shorts and for some teams, pants will be provided to each player Uniform provided to the players for that season Each player will be required to turn the uniform set back in at the end of year If the uniform is damaged due to non-playing reasons or lost, the player will be charged a replacement fee Socks, sliding pads and visors will be required and purchased by each player Replacement orders for these items can be purchased for current players in the program as the girl moves up through the program Mouth guards, purchased by player, must be worn all times during practice or when playing in games Team spirit wear and other equipment will be available for purchase but not mandatory More details to come at Spring Meeting

Grades 6 th, 7 th, 8 th Rec Program Information: Player fee: $75.00 Experienced head coaches Game jersey with NBA team logo provided Junior Bucks Program! Player skill evaluation on Saturday, Nov 8 at 10 am in the Cedarburg Community Center Gym One hour practice twice during weekdays (Mon-Thurs) starting after Nov 24 either at CHS Vintage Gym or the Community Center Gym 7:30-8:30 or 8:30-9:30 Practices will continue once games begin Jan to mid-mar Games start on Jan 3rd (Sat or Sun only) at Webster Middle School Gym If your child has other sports or activities that may interfere, you will need to note the nights or weekends on your reg. form and communicate conflicts to the head coach All skill levels are welcome in this community rec program! This is not a club This is a FUN community rec program designed for all skill levels and to have some fun, to learn and just play the game of basketball You can register tonight!
