Dinner and a program covering their mission is scheduled for Friday night. All are invited to welcome the riders to the club, dinner, and then a program explaining their mission. A work party has been scheduled for May 30th to clean up the grounds and clubhouse prior to receiving the guests. You help is always appreciated. 4 loads of rocks were delivered and spread for the drive to the club. Thanks todavid Sargent for coordinating the effort. Please contact Harbormaster or groundskeeper if you add, remove, and/or relocate a boat or trailer. Please add identification (name) to trailer. We are close to having a date for painting the clubhouse. Please remove items stored under the clubhouse if you don t want them moved by someone else prior to painting. The board is reviewing dates and contacting instructors for Sailing Lessons in June. If you are interested in helping, let a board member know. ULTER Project Paula Johnson at 532.6969 thejohnsons_70669@hotmail.com is asking for volunteers to take up to 25 teens/ adults for sailing on one of these dates. July 2, 9 or 14 th. The group visited and chatted boating during the day and hot dogs, black beans & rice was served for lunch. Thanks to LCYC and everyone that helped in any way. The day was enjoyed in spite of the dreary weather.

THE TACKING TIMES NEWSLETTER Page 8 Blessing of the Boats May 31st The Propeller Club Ports of SW Louisiana will host a blessing of boats on SUNDAY May 31 at 3PM at the Civic Center Seawall on Lake Charles. Any boat, from tugboats and fishing boats to canoes and Kayaks, can proceed by the SEAWALL area to receive a blessing. This ceremony is in honor of National Maritime Day which recognizes all mariners service to the United States. Boats will be lined up to proceed in procession.
