Tipoff against the league-champion Phoenix is set for 4:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on 570 WKBN, iheartradio and ESPN3. The Penguins have won four straight games to improve to 19-7 overall and 8-5 in Horizon League play and climb into a tie for third place in the league standings. Green Bay has already clinched the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the outright regular season title with a 13-1 start. Wright State is a game-and-a-half up on YSU at 10-4, and Cleveland State is tied for third at 8-5. YSU won a pair of road games last week behind back-to-back 38-point performances by fifth-year senior Heidi Schlegel. The Penguins scored the final 11 points to rally for a 79-73 win at Milwaukee on Thursday, and they led for all but 57 seconds on Saturday in an 87-69 win at Valparaiso. Schlegel has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week for each of the last two weeks, and she was named the National High-Major Player of the Week by College Sports Madness. Last week she was also recognized as the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month and a member of the WBCA s So You Want To Be A Coach Class of 2015. Schlegel s 38 points are tied for the 24th most in a game by a Division I player this season. They are also the most points scored by a Horizon League player in 2014-15. Schlegel s 76-point week rocketed her up to sixth place on YSU s career points list with 1,615. Ann Marie Martin is fifth with 1,630. The Penguins are one win away from collecting their second 20-win season in the last three years and the 10th overall. YSU plays its final three games of the regular season in Northeast Ohio, and two of those games will be at Beeghly Center. The Penguins are 9-2 at home this season. The Penguins are 30-14 overall since the start of Horizon League play in 2013-14, and they are 29-16 in conference games since the start of league play in 2012-13. Indiya Benjamin and Nikki Arbanas are the Horizon League s top two freshmen in 3-point field goals and assists per game, and they rank fourth and sixth, respectively, in points per game.

A WIN WOULD... Give YSU at least 20 wins in its first 27 games for the second time in the last three years. Give YSU its 10th 20-win season Be YSU s fifth consecutive victory Allow YSU to beat Green Bay for the third time in the last four meetings. Be YSU s 31st in its last 45 games. TODAY S GAME ON THIS DATE Youngstown State is 4-6 in its history in games played on Feb. 28. The Penguins beat UIC 79-66 at Beeghly Center in 2013 in their most recent game on Feb. 28. Brandi Brown scored 39 points, the seventh most in a game in program history, on that win over the Flames on Feb. 28, 2013. She was 11-for-12 from the free-throw line that game, which gave her the 12th-best percentage by a Penguin with a minimum of 10 attempts. Against Loyola Chicago in 2002, Jen Perugini started her stretch of making 32 consecutive free throws that extended into the following season. That was the second-longest streak of consecutive free throws made in school history. SCOUTING GREEN BAY Green Bay has already clinched the No. 1 seed for the Horizon League Tournament and its 17th consecutive regular-season title. The Phoenix beat Oakland 70-55 on Thursday night to earn the outright title. Green Bay is 23-4 overall and 13-1 in league play. The Phoenix leads the Horizon League in scoring defense, field goal percentage defense, field goal percentage, assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. Green Bay was ranked in the top 25 earlier this season, and it has won each of its last six games by at least 15. Green Bay is built on balance with its highest scorer (Mehryn Kraker) averaging 12.6 points and its top rebounder (Megan Lukan) averaging 5.1 rebounds. Six players average at least 7.2 points. SERIES WITH GREEN BAY Green Bay leads the all-time series with Youngstown State 30-3, and all 33 meetings have been in conference play or a conference tournament. YSU swept the Phoenix last season, winning 66-57 in Youngstown and 72-63 in Green Bay. The Penguins became just the second league team in the last 16 years to beat Green Bay twice in the regular season. Before the win last Jan. 16, Green Bay had beaten YSU 17 straight times. Green Bay beat YSU 66-43 on Jan. 10 at the Kress Center. The Penguins shot just 22.9 percent in the loss. RECAPPING VALPARAISO Heidi Schlegel scored 38 points for the second consecutive game, and Youngstown State pulled away in the second half to beat Valparaiso 87-69 on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics-Recreation Center. YSU led for all but 57 seconds in the game, and a 14-2 run midway through the second half allowed the Penguins to pull away in a game that was within single digits for most of the first 30 minutes. YSU led by nine four times in the first half, and Schlegel scored six points in the final 1:02 to give the Penguins a 40-32 halftime lead. Valpo got within 57-52 with 10:40 remaining before Kelsea Newman hit a 3-pointer at the end of the shot clock to spark a 14-2 run that put the Penguins up 71-54 with 7:47 left. Valpo got no closer than 15 the rest of the way. Newman had eight points during that 14-point run, and she finished with a career-high 19 points. She made five of Youngstown State s 12 3-pointers. Schlegel added 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals to go along with her 38 points. YSU went to the NCAA Tournament three times and had six 20-win seasons during the 1990s, and the Penguins ended a 12-year 20-win drought by posting 23 victories in 2012-13. YSU is one win from securing the 10th 20-win season in program history. In the 90 games since the start of the 2012-13 season, YSU has a 57-33 record. The Guins had 57 wins over their previous 229 games dating back to the 2004-05 season. Since the start of Horizon League play last year, YSU is 30-14 over its last 44 games. The Penguins have been to the semifinals of the HL Tournament in back-to-back seasons and are 29-16 (.644 winning percentage) in conference games since the start of 2012-13. They were 26-96 (.213) over the previous seven league seasons. YSU also went to the WNIT in 2012-13, which was its first postseason berth since 1999-2000. With at least four games remaining, Youngstown State has already surpassed last season s win total (15). The Penguins have won 19 of their first 26 games for the second time in the last three seasons, and they ve won 19 games for the 11th time in their history. With another Horizon League victory, the Penguins would win at least nine league games for the third straight year. They won a maximum of eight in their first 11 years in the league. YSU set a new school record with 11 non-conference victories in 2014-15, surpassing the 10 that the 2012-13 squad posted. The Penguins were 4-9 in non-league play last year. The Penguins were 10-0 for the first time at the Division I level and for just the second time (1978-79) before losing at Pittsburgh on Dec. 21. YSU has beaten plenty of quality opponents this season as well. YSU is 3-1 against teams that went to the NCAA Tournament last year (Robert Morris, Akron and Wright State) and 2-1 against teams that played in the WBI (Championship winner UIC and Bucknell). Youngstown State has posted winning streaks of at least six games in three straight seasons after not having any from 2000-01 through 2011-12. YSU opened this season with its first 10-game winning streak since the 1997-98 season. NUMERICAL ROSTER / PRONUNCIATIONS No. Name Pos. Ht. Cl. TWEET-SIZED TIDBITS The Penguins have seven true freshmen on their roster, the most in the Horizon League and in Ohio. Heidi Schlegel was named preseason First-Team All-Horizon League in the league s poll and by College Sports Madness. YSU was picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the Horizon League s preseason poll. YSU s 2015 NLI class of Bre Berryman, Jill Blacksten, Marissa Brown, Alison Smolinski & Melinda Trimmer ranked among the top 25% nationally. Nikki Arbanas scored 25 points seventh-most ever by a YSU freshman in her debut vs. Niagara on Nov. 15, going 8-for-9 from the field. Arbanas, the HL Freshman of the Week on 11/17, became just the third Guin to go at least 5-for-5 from 3 and the first to do it in 18 years. YSU s 22-point margin of victory over Niagara was the most in an opener in 26 years. YSU beat Kent State 68-49 on Nov. 18 to tie its largest margin of victory in the 30-game series. YSU s last win in Kent was in 1996. YSU blocked eight shots, tied for the eighth-most in program history, in the 70-44 win at Radford on Nov. 22. Latisha Walker had six of YSU s eight blocks at Radford. Previously, the last Penguin to block six shots was Tara Fleming on Dec. 31, 2004. Indiya Benjamin became the first YSU freshman in 13 years (since Jen Perugini) to score in double figures in her first four games. Behind MVP Heidi Schlegel, YSU won the Teresa Phillips Classic in Nashville by beating Nicholls State and Tennessee State. Indiya Benjamin hit a free throw with seven seconds left to help YSU overcome 27 turnovers in a 51-50 win over Nicholls State on Nov. 29. YSU had its first one-point win in three years vs. NSU, and the 51 points were the fewest scored by the Guins in a win since Feb. 11, 1978. Latisha Walker had two 5+ blocks games in a three-game span. Prior to her first, no Penguin had blocked five shots in a span of 223 games. PAGE 4 LOOKING TO CLINCH FIRST-ROUND HOME GAME Youngstown State s outlook for finishing in the top four of the Horizon League standings and earning a first-round home tournament game has improved significantly over the last four games. The Penguins entered the game against Oakland on Feb. 11 as one of four teams with a 4-5 record. YSU is now tied for third place with Cleveland State with an 8-5 record, and the teams tied for fifth UIC and Detroit are three games back with three games left. A Penguins victory or losses by UIC and Detroit will give YSU a first-round home game. HISTORIC LOOK AT SCHLEGEL S 38 S YSU fifth-year senior forward Heidi Schlegel had the pinnacle performances of her memorable career last week when she posted back-to-back 38-point performances at Milwaukee and Valparaiso. Those 38 points topped her previous career high by 10 points, and Schlegel tied for the eighth-most points in a game in school history. She joins a select group of Dorothy Bowers (three times), Wanda Grant (three times), Brandi Brown (twice), and Brianne Kenneally (once) as the only players to score at least 38 points in a game. Schlegel s 76 points are the most in school history in consecutive road games. Nationally, Schlegel s 38 points rank tied-for-24th in a game this season. She s one of three players (Drake s Lizzy Wendell and Wagner s Jasmine Nwajei are the others) to score at least 38 twice. The 38 points are the 12th-most ever scored in a Horizon League game and the seventhmost in a league road game. The last Horizon League player to score at least 38 points in a game was former Penguin Brandi Brown with 42 on March 3, 2013. The last player to score 38 on the road was Milwaukee s Traci Edwards with 45 at Loyola on Feb. 21, 2008. MEMORABLE SEVEN DAYS FOR SCHLEGEL Heidi Schlegel had a seven-day period most players can only dream of from Feb. 17-23. WBCA SO YOU WANT TO BE A COACH CLASS: On Feb. 17, Schlegel was announced as one of 58 women s basketball players across all levels who will participate in the WBCA s So You Want To Be A Coach program at the national convention from April 3-5 in Tampa, Florida. SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE MONTH: On Feb. 19, Schlegel was named the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month for January. She earned the distinction for the second straight month and for the fourth time in her career. WEEKLY AWARDS: After scoring 38 points on both Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, Schlegel was named the Horizon League Player of the Week by the conference office and College Sports Madness for the second consecutive week. CSM also tabbed Schlegel the High- Major Player of the Week. Finally, Schlegel was noted for her performances in espnw s national player-of-the-week story. SCHLEGEL MAKING PLAYER-OF-THE-YEAR CASE Schlegel s Conference Rankings With her back-to-back 38-point performances at Milwaukee and Valparaiso, Heidi Schlegel has put herself into the debate for Horizon League Player of the Year. Schlegel ranks second in the Horizon League in double-doubles (11), and she s third in rebounds per game (10.0) and points per game (18.1). In conference play, Schlegel ranks second in scoring, rebounding, field-goal percentage and free-throw percentage. TWEET-SIZED TIDBITS YSU beat Tennessee State on Nov. 30 for its first win over an Ohio Valley Conference team since 1996. YSU played in the OVC in 1983-88. Indiya Benjamin was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Dec. 1. YSU had two of the year s first three freshman honorees. YSU scored 20 straight points, 11 of which were by Nikki Arbanas, in the win over Oberlin. The Penguins shot 71 percent in the second half and had their first 50-point half since Nov. 25, 2012, at Miami (Ohio), vs. Oberlin. YSU has had two games where its bench scored at least 50 points: 51 vs. Oberlin and 60 vs. Ohio Valley. YSU had 28 assists on 30 field goals at Canisius on Dec. 13. That was the most assists by the Penguins since having 28 on Feb. 10, 2000. YSU made 12 of its first 17 attempts from 3 at Canisius in enjoying its largest margin of victory on the road (80-48) since Feb. 10, 2000. YSU won in single OT for the first time since Feb. 22, 2003, when it beat Robert Morris 73-65 on Dec. 17. YSU trailed by 15 with 9:10 left. Against Ohio Valley, YSU had its largest margin of victory (84-33) since Jan. 5, 1998. It was the eighth-largest win in program history. The 33 points by Ohio Valley tied for the sixth-fewest points YSU has allowed in a game. Cornell s.569 shooting percentage and plus-13 rebounding advantage were the highest against YSU under Coach John Barnes. YSU shot 22.9 percent in the loss at Green Bay. That was its worst FG% since shooting 19.6 percent at WVU on Nov. 11, 2011. Against Cleveland State, YSU had its best rebounding margin against a Division I team (+18) since outrebounding IUPUI by 25 on Dec. 3, 2012. YSU has had two Horizon Players of the Week: Latisha Walker on Jan. 5 and Heidi Schlegel on Jan. 19 and Feb. 16. If she s named First-Team All-Horizon League this season, she d become the first Penguin since Brianne Kenneally in 1998-99 and 1999-2000 to be named first-team all-conference in back-to-back seasons. Kenneally, Liz Hauger, Dorothy Bowers and Danielle Carson are the only two-time first-team all-conference players in school history. ARBANAS, BENJAMIN AMONG LEAGUE S TOP FRESHMEN Freshman starting guards Nikki Horizon League Freshman Rankings Arbanas and Indiya Benjamin have Arbanas Benjamin been in the spotlight as starters in the Points Per Game 6th 8.8 5th 9.5 first 26 games of their careers. They 3-Point Field Goals 1st 45 2nd 42 are the second-highest freshman scoring duo in YSU s history with 475 Assists Per Game 2nd 3.0 1st 3.7 combined points. The school record Minutes Per Game 1st 31.3 3rd 29.4 is 671 by Caroline McCombs and Ann Marie Martin in 1994-95. Arbanas and Benjamin s combined scoring average of 18.3 points is third among freshman duos. Arbanas has twice been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week (Nov. 17 and Jan. 26), and she ranks second in the conference in 3-point field-goal percentage at 43.6 percent. Arbanas is the percentage leader during conference play at 43.9 percent. She went 5-for-5 from 3-point range in a 25-point performance versus Niagara in the season opener, and she made six 3s tied for the most in a league game this season at Oakland on Jan. 24. Arbanas is averaging 9.0 points and 3.0 assists overall and 10.0 points and 2.9 assists in league play. She also routinely defends the opponent s top guard. Benjamin has scored in double figures 12 times and was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Dec. 1. She scored 22 points, the most ever by a Penguins freshman in a Horizon League game, in the win over Wright State on Jan. 22. She also had 18-point games vs. Milwaukee and at Detroit and a 17-point outing at UIC. Benjamin is averaging 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and a team-high 3.5 assists for the year, and she s averaging 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists against league opponents. AMONG DIVISION I LEADERS IN FREE-THROW PERCENTAGE Through games completed on Feb. 19, Youngstown State ranks eighth the country in freethrow percentage at 76.9 percent. That mark leads the Horizon League by 6.3 percent Valparaiso is second at 70.6 percent. Washington leads the country at 78.1 percent. Latisha Walker leads the Horizon League in free-throw percentage at 84.4 percent, and Heidi Schlegel is second at 79.2 percent. Nikki Arbanas, who does not have enough attempts to qualify for the leaders list, is shooting 85.4 percent. Walker, Schlegel and Indiya Benjamin are all shooting at least 80 percent from the free-throw line in league play. Making free throws has been key in several wins this season, especially in three. The Penguins made their final 18 attempts from the line and were 33-for-35 for the game in a 73-65 overtime win at Robert Morris on Dec. 17. YSU was 25-of-29 in a three-point win at UIC on Jan. 8, and it was 15-of-19 in a five-point win at Detroit on Feb. 14. YSU also leads the league in 3-point field-goal percentage at 36 percent, and it ranks second in field-goal percentage at 43.1 percent (Green Bay is first at 43.5 percent). The same team has led the conference in all three shooting percentages just five times since 1986-87. Green Bay was the most recent in 2006-07. PENGUINS ARE 63RD IN RPI With playing in a postseason tournament being a possibility, the Penguins rank 63rd in the RPI. That is the highest they ve been since joining the Horizon League in 2001-02. Youngstown State finished 75th in the RPI during its 23-win season in 2013-14, and it was 210th last year. Youngstown State has been as high as 20th in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll. The Penguins made their first appearance in the Top 25 at No. 24 on Dec. 16, and they remained in the top 25 until Jan. 27. PAGE 5 YSUSPORTS.COM/SOCIAL

TWEET-SIZED TIDBITS Heidi Schlegel was one of 30 Division I players to be selected as a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award. Indiya Benjamin scored 22 points, the most ever by a YSU freshman in a Horizon League game, in a 75-70 win over Wright State on Jan. 22. Freshmen combined for 43 of YSU s 75 points in the win over Wright State. In their first 221 HL games, YSU got one 20-point game from a freshman. Arbanas & Benjamin each had 20 in a two-game span on Jan. 22 and 24. YSU s 82 points in the loss at Oakland were the most in a regulation loss since the season opener in 2000-01 at Bowling Green. Heidi Schlegel was named the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month for the third time in her career in December. Against Detroit on Jan. 28, the Penguins lost when holding a double-digit halftime lead for the first time since Dec. 12, 2010. YSU missed 10 shots and committed four turnovers before scoring in the second half vs. UDM. The Guins were 1-for-12 from 3 in the 2nd half. YSU had its best shooting game since Feb. 23, 1998, when it shot 59.2 percent in an 87-64 win over Milwaukee on Jan. 31. Against UWM, YSU had its highestscoring first half (51) since having 51 at Wright State on Feb. 24, 2002. Milwaukee s 19 rebounds on Jan. 31 were the fewest by an opponent since at least 1995-96. Heidi Schlegel became the seventh player in school history to reach 1,500 career points and 700 career rebounds vs. UIC on Feb. 7. YSU shot 76 percent in the second half in a 76-54 win over Oakland on Feb. 11. Nikki Arbanas set YSU s freshmen record for made 3-pointers at the 8:30 mark of the second half vs. Oakland on Feb. 11. Heidi Schlegel set YSU s career record for made free throws at the 7:41 mark of the first half at Detroit on Feb. 14. Heidi Schlegel set a YSU record for points in consecutive road games with 76 at Milwaukee and Valparaiso. OFFENSE HAS FLOURISHED UNDER BARNES Statistically, Youngstown State s offense last season in John Barnes first year was the program s best in at least a decade. Among the highlights, YSU s 70.3 points per game scoring average was the best since 1999-00, and the.404 shooting percentage was the best since 2001-02. This season could be even better. The Penguins are averaging 71.4 points on an efficient 1.05 points per possession their best mark since 1997-98. YSU also leads the Horizon League in 3-point field-goal percentage (.360) and free-throw percentage (.769) while ranking second in field-goal percentage (.431). YSU has never had a better season in assist-to-turnover ratio or fewest turnovers per game. That 30th win came in Barnes 51st game at YSU. Only Joyce Ramsey, the program s head coach when it started official play in 1975-76, reached 30 wins faster in 44 games. Legendary coach Ed DiGregorio, who finished with 320 in his career, reached 30 in his 74th game. Bob Boldon got his 30th win in 79 games, and Tisha Hill achieved her 30th in her 104th contest. DEFENSE IS KEY TO VICTORIES A big factor on whether YSU wins or loses is defense. The Penguins are 20-3 under Coach John Barnes when holding teams under 38 percent shooting, and they are 29-6 when allowing fewer than 70 points. The Penguins are holding teams to an average of 62.4 points per game on 38.1 percent shooting. They rank third in the league in scoring defense and fourth in shooting percentage defense. Historically, the 62.4 points-per-game average by opponents is the second-fewest since 1990-91. Only the 2012-13 team had a better scoring defense in that span at 57.8 points per game. YSU has not had a better field-goal percentage defense since 1994-95 (37.3 percent). FIVE STRAIGHT SEASONS WITH 200 3-POINTERS YSU has made at least 200 3-pointers in each of the last five seasons. Prior to starting the trend in 2010-11, the highest season total in program history was 199 in 1999-2000. YSU is one of just 22 programs in the country to have made at least 200 in each of the last four seasons, and 10 have those have made 200 so far in 2014-15. The Penguins lead the Horizon League with 8.0 3-pointers per game and 36.0 percent from 3-point range. YSU has its best percentage since 2004-05, and the 8.0 triples per game is the third best rate in school history behind the 2011-12 and 2012-13 teams. YSU has balance from its outside attack as well as five players have made at least 26 3-pointers, and three have made at least 42. Kelsea Newman leads the squad with 47, and Nikki Arbanas (45) and Indiya Benjamin (42) have the top two totals ever by a freshman. PAGE 6 YSUSPORTS.COM

Her.409 3-point field-goal percentage is tied for the fifth best in school history. EXCELLING ACADEMICALLY The Youngstown State women s basketball team had another banner semester this past fall as its 13 student-athletes posted a combined grade-point average of 3.40. All 13 Penguins posted at least a 3.0 GPA, and four Nikki Arbanas, Sarah Cash, Morgan Olson and Heidi Schlegel had a 4.0 during the semester. The Penguins had a 3.42 GPA in spring 2014 and a 3.46 last fall. There were two Penguins on the Horizon League s five-member academic all-conference team in 2013-14. The Penguins were ranked in the WBCA Academic Top 25 in each of the two previous years. YSU was sixth on the Academic Top 25 in 2011-12 and 17th in 2012-13. HOME COURT ADVANTAGE AT BEEGHLY CENTER YSU has done a solid job of defending its home court over the past three seasons, especially in league play. Including the postseason, the Penguins have a 19-5 home record against Horizon League teams since the start of 2012-13. Youngstown State won a school-record 14 home games in 2012-13, and it won seven of its last nine contests at Beeghly Center in 2013-14 while finishing 10-8 overall in the building. YSU is 9-2 at home this year, bringing its record on Dom Rosselli Court to 33-11 since the start of 2012-13. The Penguins.750 winning percentage at home over the last three years is second in the Horizon League only to Green Bay s.841 mark. YSU s home winning percentage is fourth in Ohio behind Dayton (.972) and Akron (.833). YSU has ranked second in the Horizon League in average home attendance for each of the last five years (as far back as full NCAA records go). Green Bay leads the conference in that span with an average home attendance of 2,370, and Youngstown State is second at 1,257. The next highest is Milwaukee at 691. Youngstown State University is a comprehensive urban research university that offers nearly 13,000 students more than 115 undergraduate and graduate programs. YSU ranked among the top third of similar universities and colleges nationally in Washington Monthly s 2013 College Guide and Rankings. Forbes magazine included YSU as one of America s Top Colleges for 2013. The freshman class in the Fall of 2014 was the strongest academic class in the university s history. Jim Tressel, a member of the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015, is Youngstown State s president. Tressel won five National Championships four at YSU and one at Ohio State as a head coach. YSU is the only NCAA Division I school to have Penguins as its nickname. 2013-14 was a banner year in Penguins Athletics as teams won a Horizon League-high six postseason tournaments. Youngstown State finished second in the McCafferty Trophy standings for the Horizon League s all-sports champion. Upon completion of the spring semester, YSU student-athletes had an all-time high 3.17 cumulative GPA. Out of 331 student-athletes, an all-time best 201 (61 percent) had a grade-point average of better than 3.00 in the spring. PAGE 7 The Youngstown Area & Mahoning Valley Recently, Forbes Magazine ranked the Youngstown area fourth out of the 100 largest metro areas to raise a family. The National Association of Home Builder s 2012 Index ranked Youngstown as the second-most affordable city in the country to purchase a home. National Geographic, USA Today, and People Magazine named Youngstown s Handel s Ice Cream the best in the country. In 2009, Youngstown was ranked one of the top 10 cities to start a business. Youngstown has been called A Cradle of Coaches. Among the long list of prominent head football coaches from Youngstown are Bo Pelini (YSU), Bob Stoops (Oklahoma) and Mark Stoops (Kentucky). Mark Dantonio (Michigan State) was an assistant coach at YSU, and Pat Narduzzi (Pittsburgh) played at YSU. Before he became the star of Modern Family and Married with Children, Ed O Neill played football at YSU from 1967-68. ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski played football at YSU from 1969-72. The 49ers have deep Youngstown ties as Co-Chairperson Denise DeBartolo York and CEO Jed York were both born here. The DeBartolo Corporation headquarters remains in nearby Boardman.
