Southeastern MLK Day Invite The time is always right to do what is right. January 13-15, 2017 Hamilton Southeastern High School Natatorium SANCTION: This meet is sanctioned by USA and Indiana Swimming. Sanction # IN17182 HOST: Southeastern Swim Club; P.O. Box 327; Fishers, Indiana 46038 FACILITY: Hamilton Southeastern High School Natatorium, 13910 E. 126 th Street; Fishers, IN, 46037 COMPETITION POOLS: MEET FORMAT: The meet will be held at the Hamilton Southeastern High School Natatorium. Two short course yard competition pools will be in use during all prelim sessions, unless entries dictate the use of only one pool. Finals will be held in one competition pool. Limited continuous warm-up and warm-down will be provided. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The competition pool depth ranges from 5 to 13. Friday night events will be swum as timed finals. The Saturday and Sunday morning sessions will serve as preliminary sessions for finals later that evening. For individual events, finals will include 1 heat per gender of 10 & under events, 2 heats per gender of 11-12 events, 2 heats per gender for 13-14 events, and 3 heats per gender for 15 & over events. All relays will be swum timed finals each team may enter 2 relays per team in each event. All swimmers will be limited to 3 prelim events per day on Saturday and Sunday. Please notify your swimmers that fly-over starts may be used throughout the meet. Pool assignments will be based on the number of entries received in each event and will reflect a balanced timeline. Information regarding pool assignments will be available in the coaches packets as well as posted throughout the natatorium. There will be no positive sign-in at this meet. Meet will be pre-seeded based on entries. ENTRY FORMAT: ENTRY LIMITS: Regardless of the times you submit, all times not entered in short course yards will be converted to short course yards by Hy-Tek s Meet Manager. Hy-Tek Team Manager and/or Team Unify meet entry file will be accepted by E-mail. All swimmers will be limited to no more than 3 individual events per day. If an entry is submitted with an individual in more events than allowed, the swimmer will be entered into the order of events until the rule is satisfied. No entries will be accepted unless the entrant is registered with USA Swimming. SSC may limit the number of swimmers in any one or more events to maintain a reasonable length of the meet. In the event that entries are limited, SSC will return the entry fees to the Club(s) whose swimmers are not allowed to compete in the specific event(s). ENTRY FEES: Individual events: $4.00 each for timed finals events and $5.00 for Sat/Sun prelim/finals events
Relay events: $6.00 each There will also be a $2.00 per swimmer surcharge assessed by Indiana Swimming. Deck Entries: Individual $10.00 each/ $12 for relays Please send one check made payable to Southeastern Swim Club that covers all entries. ELIGIBILITY: RULES: Current USA Swimming and Indiana short course rules will govern this meet. Swimmer(s) must be registered with USA Swimming to be accepted into this meet.. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warm down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer s responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet.. Swimmer(s) must be registered with USA Swimming to be accepted into the meet. Age as of January 13, 2017, shall determine the swimmer s age for the entire meet. Indiana Swimming does not process on-site athlete registration. Any swimmer entered in the meet, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Coaches MUST constantly display their current USA Swimming coach credential or Deck Pass to gain deck access. The meet referee and/or meet director reserves the right to ask for coach credential or Deck Pass and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid/current. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. SWIMWEAR RULES: DEADLINE: The following rules apply for all swimmers. A. Swimsuits must be non-transparent and conform to the current concept of appropriate. B. In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in USA Swimming rule 205.10.1. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee. Textile fabric is defined as material consisting of natural and/or synthetic, individual and non-consolidated yarns used to constitute a fabric by weaving, knitting and/or braiding. C. The referee shall have the authority to bar offenders from the competition until they comply with the rule. D. Deck changes are prohibited. No entries will be accepted before 8:00 A.M. on Monday, December 19 or after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 3. Deadline will be extended if the meet is not full. All entries must arrive via E-mail. No hand deliveries by club personnel will be accepted. Any entries arriving before the entry deadline will not be processed until all entries received during the entry period are processed. When E-mailing your file, an E-mail confirmation will be sent within 24 hours of receipt of the file. Should you not receive this confirmation please contact the entry chair prior to the entry deadline. We will accept corrections and/or additions until Friday, January 6, at 5:00 P.M. with no penalty. However, based upon the number of initial entries received, SSC reserves the right to refuse additions after a team s initial entries. All entries submitted after this deadline will be considered deck entries and be subject to that fee. Please include the entire entry file

SIGN-IN: Coaches, officials, and volunteers must all sign in. All coaches must show proof of current USA Swimming registration to gain deck access and must constantly display those credentials throughout the meet. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential display and/or refuse deck access to any coach not displaying proper credentials or if card is not current or valid. Remember there is no positive sign in at this meet. Meet will be pre-seeded. HOSPITALITY: FACILITY NOTE: A hospitality area will be available for coaches, officials, and volunteers only. Since we are renting this facility, we are expected to treat it as if it were ours. Swimmers, coaches, officials, and spectators must abide by these rules: 1. Keep all trash picked up. 2. No sound devices or objects such as balls, radios, etc. that are an inconvenience to swimmers, coaches, officials, or workers will be allowed. 3. NO GLASS WILL BE ALLOWED ON DECK! 4. Only coaches, athletes, officials, and volunteers will be allowed entry to the pool deck. As per insurance regulations, no parents (except volunteers) will be allowed on deck. 5. No personal chairs will be allowed in the spectator area. 6. No camping in the spectator area or hallways. 7. Do not go or let children go to any unauthorized areas Anyone caught abusing the facilities will be asked to leave the meet IMMEDIATELY and the team will be billed for any damages caused by their swimmers! ADMISSION: Admission: $6 each day or an all weekend pass for $15. Children 10 and under are free. Postings of Heat Sheets and Psych Sheets will be available on www.southeasternswim.org and/or Meet Mobile as time allows by the head table. Concessions also will be available.
