We are so fortunate to have such wonderful people to take care of our catering needs. Below are the minutes from that meeting: Secretarial Report - Since the previous minutes were posted in the and on the web site, there was a motion to suspend the reading of the minutes and it was approved. Treasury Report - Cameo Rose presented a detailed annual treasury report which indicated that we have $12,601.35 in our checking account and $4,603.13 in our savings account. There was a motion to accept the treasury report and it was approved. Territorial Governor s Report - Rattlesnake Blake reviewed the items from the December TG Summit where the only item that passed was Item #1: The scoring of matches will be changed so that any shooter who does not finish TWO or more stages in a match is not eligible for any main match awards. The R.O. Committee will be constructing a web page where What is the Call? will be addressed to situations that occur on the firing line and the resulting call as outlined in the range officer material. The selection of R.O. instructors across the country (as well as in other countries around the world) is progressing to resolve some of the misinformation that was being distributed through RO classes. There was a discussion on the number of categories that are being offered and the effect that this has on the distribution of prizes at major matches. Political Update - Crazy Emmitt read Article IV, Section I of the U. S. Constitution which states the following: Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof. Since concealed carry licenses are a law, not accepting a state s concealed carry permits is defying the Constitution of the United States. There is a movement for a national (Continued on Page 4)

(Annual Membership Meeting - continued from Page 1) concealed carry license. You are encouraged to contact your Congressmen to let know that you support this national concealed carry license. This bill would give us national reciprocity in every state. Rattlesnake Blake added that there are now reciprocal agreements with other states, but you must conform to their laws and they sometimes differ from state to state. Fisher House Charity Match - The third annual Fisher House Match will be held on March 30 - April 1, 2012. Lone range and cowboy skeet side matches will be held on Friday. Ten main match stages will be held on Saturday and four on Sunday. Lunches will be provided on Sat. & Sun. Additional fun side matches will be held on Saturday after the main match stages, and a gathering at the club house that evening for potluck, movies and popcorn. Range Development - Kentucky Tom reported that the cowboy town range development was slowed down this past year due to some construction issues that had to be down to the club house area. Plans previously presented at the last annual membership meeting on the cowboy town can now proceed. Rattlesnake discussed a signal system to designate hits for the long range shooting. We will be looking into adding this to our long range shooting area. Youth Shooting Program - Our first youth program was very successful. We are getting requests for another one and will be scheduling this in the coming months. The program consist of classroom instruction and shooting of 22 pistols and rifle and 410 shotguns on the range. Club members are encouraged to come out and assist when this is scheduled. We will need a number of range officer so that shooters can maximize their time on the firing line. New Club Computer - Biscuit Sarah made a recommendation that we research the purchase of a new club computer to handling the scoring program and updates to the program. There was a motion to approve up to $1000 to purchase a new computer and printer. The motion was approved. Other Business - Crazy Emmitt announce that there were no nominations for the board and that the current board will continue to serve for the next two-year period. Sprit of Coyote Creek / 2012 - Rattlesnake Blake and sponsor the Spirit of Coyote Creek trophy annually to a person who has gone out of the way to addeto the operation and spirit of the Bayou Bounty Hunters. This year s recipient is Copperhead Charlie who has taken over the fourth Sunday match each month. Copperhead writes the stages, sets them up on the range, and with the help of Runnin Rose runs the entire match. Our appreciation to him for providing all of the pards with an additional monthly match at Coyote Creek. Page 4
Youth Shooting Program Learning Firearm Safety through Cowboy Action Shooting We have developed a youth program to introduce firearm safety to young shooters under the supervision of qualified range officers. Shooters will be instructed on the proper use of pistols, rifle and shotgun. All firearms and ammunition for the day are provided by the Bayou Bounty Hunters. (If students have their own firearms, they are welcomed to bring them.) A parent/guardian must be present during shooting on the range. Our first event was held on Sept. 9th. and was very well received. We are planning a second day of instruction and shooting on SUNDAY, MARCH 11TH. Please spread the word to youngsters you know who may be interested! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our Goal: To introduce young people to the pleasures and responsibilities of the shooting sports within the framework of the traditional Old West while using single action revolvers, rifles and a shot gun. Our intent is to provide a family-friendly shooting environment which can be enjoyed by all. Our #1 priority is SAFETY.
