April Gun Show The gun show will be held on April 2, 3. The schedule is as follows: Setup will be on Friday April 1 at 9:30 AM. Show hours are 8:30 4:00 on Saturday and 8:30 3:00 on Sunday. Teardown and cleanup will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday; a good opportunity to get your work hours. Call Steve Risinger to volunteer at 309 449 6268. Women On Target: We recently had a very successful Women On Target program on March 4. There are plans in place to keep the program going. Check the Calendar for dates. Indoor Work Party: Work Hours Indoor Range Cleanup: Saturday, April 9 at 9 AM, Indoor Range and clubhouse. Questions call Bob Bjerke @ (309) 692 1800. Outdoor Work Party: The next outdoor work party will be on April 2, 2016 at 8:00 AM. We will be cleaning up trash, cutting up trees, moving heavy tables, and burning brush piles if possible. Bring chain saws, tree trimming tools, trucks, trailer, tractors with buckets. All ranges are closed to shooting until after the work party is complete (about 12:00 PM) except for scheduled events. Youth Shooting Sports Invitational Weekend: APRIL YSSI WEEKEND WORK HOUR CREDITS: The 15th Annual YSSI Weekend is set for April 15 & 16, 2016. Help will be needed on Saturday, the 16th, on all ranges (Indoor Rifle, Shotgun, Archery, High Power Rife, Muzzle loading Rifle, Cowboy Action Pistol, Buffalo Rifle, USPSA, and in the Clubhouse & Kitchen. We will especially need two or three very early risers to come in and start cooking breakfast at 4 AM so that we can be ready to feed everyone by 6:30 AM. The remaining kitchen staff needs to be here by 6 AM to help finish the cooking and to get everything out and ready to feed the participants.

WORK HOUR CREDITS will be given to all volunteers who assist. You may attend one meeting free. Our members are all ages so don't be shy about coming. You can get more information by emailing us at twawpeoriail@gmail.com. Your leaders are Anne, Kathy and Michele: The Greater Peoria Area Chapter of the Well Armed Woman meets on the 4th Friday of each month. Membership is open to any woman over age 21 who is legally able to own a firearm. We are women teaching women. Meetings are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the main clubhouse. You can attend one meeting before deciding to join. Each meeting usually consists of a one hour program on a gun related topic and one hour of range time. You must be a member to shoot. You are welcome to watch. We usually have eye and ear protection for you to wear.

We help new shooters to learn the basics and try to get them involved with shooting sports of some sort. We do provide firearms for first time shooters. There is a $5.00 range fee plus the cost of ammunition. You will need to take a gun safety course if you are a new shooter. It's pretty fun. We stress safety at all times. We have NRA certified instructors and RSO's. This month it will be on the 22nd of April. We really look forward to meeting you. It's really a fun and informative time. Hearing and Eye protection along with money for ammo and match fees. THAT s IT!!! This runs $36 to $41 for a 60 round draw of 223 with the match fee. CSC has National Match AR 15 s and Service Grade M1 Garands available for borrowing at the match 223, 30 06, and 308 available for very competitive prices at the matches. When are the matches and what do the other competitors bring for equipment? The matches are usually held on the 3 rd Saturday of the month with the first relay starting at 8:30 AM March through October. First Match in 2016 is March 19 at 1:00. Watch the CSC Calendar. What other equipment (besides hearing and eye protection) do others bring? Spotting Scope Shooting mat club has these available Stapler Shooting jacket really all you need is something to protect your elbows in the prone position. A sweatshirt works fine. Your own rifle and ammo. The usual guns are AR 15, M1 Garand, or M1A. Rifle Sling Please contact Chris Bach at (309)256 1712 if you have any questions. Outdoor Range: Range 7 is closed for an indefinite time since work has started on repairing the East / Left side berm. We will update the website when Range 7 is re opened.

Damage To Indoor Range: We recently had to repair $132 in damage to the ceiling of the indoor range. If you use it please be careful. Also, If anyone has access to an angle mower for mowing our ditches and roads, please contact one of the club officers. We would like to hire your services.
