Lodging Entries in Person - you can lodge your entry in person at the Hawkesbury Showground Office, Gate 2, 40 Racecourse Road, Clarendon between 9am and 4pm. Payment: o You must pay for your entry at the time of entry. o You can pay by cheque (made out to Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association) or Credit Card. o Cash is only accepted over the counter - please DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE MAIL. o Online entries must be paid for by Credit Card only. Late or phone entries WILL NOT be accepted. JUDGING Commences at 10.00am on Saturday, 21st April.
DELIVERY All exhibits are to enter the Showground through Gate 3, 40 Racecourse Road, Clarendon. All Goats must be delivered to the Showground by 8:30am on the day of Judging (Saturday 21st April 2018). Vehicles must be removed from the Showgrounds and parked in the appropriate Exhibitor Carpark BEFORE 9am. All exhibitors must pay Gate entry unless members. Each exhibitor and any other person that handles the animal must sign a waiver on the day of entry and get a wristband. NOTE: ALL EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS MUST SUPPLY A SIGNED GOAT HEALTH DECLARATION o available on www.animalhealthaustralia.com.au PRIZES 1st $5.00, 2nd $2.00, 3rd $1.00 plus ribbons as listed. All fees & prizes include GST ** SPECIAL PRIZE Best Presented in Grand Parade sash & $50.00 Donated by The Close Family CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Goats must be registered with the Goat Breeders' Society of Australia, either in the Numbered or Appendix Sections of the Herd Book. Identification must be included on entry form. 2. The age of goats will be calculated from date of birth to judging day. 3. Entries in Group classes, with the exception of Sires' Progeny classes, must be named. Each group must consist of one breed. 4. All goats must be free of infections and contagious disease and vermin. 5. All goats must take part in the Grand Parade as requested by the Steward. 6. All exhibitors are requested to wear a dust coat in the judging ring and for the Grand Parade. 7. HDAA Stewards' decision on any matter will be final. 8. HDAA Stewards' reserve the right to reject any animal. 9. All goats must remain on the Showground until 5.00pm on the day of judging. 10. All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor. 11. Doe kid classes will be split if there are sufficient entries.
ANIMAL WELFARE POLICY Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA) provides for the welfare and how we treat animals on the showground. The expectations and requirements are for the care of animals and if exhibitors breach these conditions HDAA may take action if required through ejecting the involved exhibitor and/or reporting the incident to the RSPCA for legal action. An Exhibitor or Attendant of an Animal Exhibit must use all reasonable steps to ensure that the exhibit is housed and cared for in accordance with the Animal Welfare Policy. Animal Welfare is a human responsibility that encompasses all aspects of animal wellbeing. This includes, but is not limited to: Proper housing Management Nutrition Responsible care Humane handling, and Veterinary treatment COLLECTION OF PRIZE MONEY Prize money can be collected during the show from the Payment Window at the back of the main office between 9am and 9pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 4pm Sunday. You must have photo id and/or your display ticket as authorisation to collect prize money. Prize money will be paid until 31st May 2018 in the office 10am and 3.30pm Mon to Fri.
