RETAIN THIS PORTION TRUBSHAW CUP Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April 2018 CONDITIONS 1. The Tenby Golden Eagle and the Carmarthenshire Open shall each be decided by aggregate over 36 holes. In the event of a tie the winner shall be decided on the lowest score for the last 18 holes (or 9 or 6 or 3 or 1 hole). If a tie still arises the scores for the 1st round shall be treated in the same way until a decision is reached. 2. The Trubshaw Cup shall be decided by the aggregate score for the Tenby Golden Eagle and the Carmarthenshire Open. In the event of a tie the title shall be shared. 3. Any competitor not present on the first teeing ground when called upon to start shall be disqualified. 4. The Championship Committee reserve the right to fix and / or alter starting times. Start times for the Carmarthenshire Open will be in reverse to the order of finish in the Tenby Golden Eagle 5. It will be obligatory for all competitors in the Championship to play with a ball which is named in the current R & A list of Conforming Golf Balls. Copies of this will be available at the course. 6. The attention of Competitors is drawn to the list of prescribed drugs issued by the Sports Council, a copy of which is available on request. The parental consent section of the entry form must be completed to allow any competitor under 18 years of age to participate in Doping Control procedures. Any Competitor infringing these conditions, or if asked to do so refusing to take a test, may be disqualified and subject to further disciplinary sanctions. 7. All entrants under 18 years of age at date of competition must return a completed Parents s Consent Form. 8. If it becomes impossible to complete the Tournament in accordance with the above conditions because of adverse weather conditions or other circumstances, the Tournament Committee shall be empowered to vary such conditions to the extent necessary to achieve a result in the time available. BUGGY POLICY 9. The use of ride on buggies is generally prohibited in Championship competitions. Players should walk at all times unless permission to ride has been given by the Championship Committee. Permission will only be given in exceptional circumstances; application to use a ride on buggy must be made in writing at the time of entry to the Championship and Rules Committee who alone may authorise its use. An application to use a ride on buggy by a person who is disabled within the meaning of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 must be made by the player's club supported by a medical certificate signed by a registered medical practitioner certifying that the player is a disabled person within the meaning of the Act and by reason thereof the player is unable to play golf without the use of a ride on buggy. Note: Even where permission might otherwise be given, the granting of permission will be subject to the conditions in force at the time by the host club. Permission may be refused under general Health & Safety grounds as provided for by the Act. 10. Driving clubs must not have a characteristic time greater than 257 microseconds when measured on pendulum testing apparatus approved by R&A Rules Ltd See also Appendix 5a of Rules of Golf. 11. Players must be in possession of a current CONGU handicap (not suspended).
ENTRIES 12. Entries shall be made on the special Entry Form only and may be obtained from Club Secretaries. 13. Entries will be limited to 51 competitors. In the event of applications exceeding this number, entries from the highest handicap competitors will be decided by ballot, which will take place immediately after the closing date for entries. All unsuccessful entrants will be informed without delay thereafter, but will be given the opportunity to compete if scratchings subsequently occur. Entrance fees will be refunded to entrants balloted out and who do not compete. Notice of withdrawal must be received in writing. Any competitors who withdraw after the closing date for entries will not have their entry fees refunded. 14. Entrants must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status and shall sign the declaration to that effect contained in the entry form. 15. Entries will only be accepted from players whose playing handicap does not exceed THREE strokes under the Council of National Golf Unions' current handicapping scheme. 16. The exact handicap at the date of entry will be used for all purposes. Subsequent changes will not be taken into account. 17. Competitors must enter through the Secretary of their HOME club who is to sign the declaration in the Entry Form. 18. All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Championship and Rules Committee, which reserves the right to accept or refuse, or having accepted, subsequently reject, any entry without giving reason for its decision. 19. The Entrance Fee of 40.00 together with the fully completed Entry Form must be received by the Secretary, Tenby Golf Club, The Burrows, Tenby, PEMBS, SA70 7NP no later than Tuesday 20th March 2018. 20. Cheques should be made payable to Tenby Golf Club. 21. Entries will not be accepted by telephone, or unless the Entry Form is fully completed and signed personally by the entrant. Entrance Fees will not be refunded unless intimation of scratching is received before the closing date for entries, except for those entrants who may be balloted out and do not subsequently compete. 22. The Championship Committee reserve the right to disqualify any competitor making a false statement on their Entry Form. PRIZES 23. Prizes for both the Tenby Golden Eagle and the Carmarthenshire Open will be: 1st - 200 Voucher 2nd - 100 Voucher 3rd - 50 Voucher Best Gross am - 25 Voucher Best Gross pm - 25 Voucher 24. No competitor may win more than one prize at each event. 25. There will be no prize voucher for the Trubshaw Cup for which there is no entry fee. A memento will be awarded. 26. Order of Merit points will be based on the 72 hole gross score. 27. Jackets and ties to be worn at the prize presentation.
