Goal Create a regional structure that accommodates to the travel constraints on club athletes Shorten the season length to allow for.. Minimal impact on club numbers due to University drop off. Greater emphasis on Fall Rugby for club athletes. Create a competition structure that will adapt with the shifting of power from club to club, allowing for regional structure to stay intact from year to year 2

Competition Overview Round 1 to 10 Regional Round Robin (May 12 Aug 11) Clubs will play a round robin (Home and Away Series) within their divisions. E.g Brantford will play a home and away series versus Crusaders, Markham Irish and Stoney Creek. Clubs will also play 4 crossover rounds (2 home and 2 away) against the their regional counterparts E.g West Premier clubs with play against East Premier clubs See slide 6 for Regional Round Robin Overview Round 11 & 12 - Ontario League Playoffs (Aug 18 & Aug 25) Teams will get placed in the League Playoffs, based on their performance in the round robin stages. Promotion and Relegation Premiership to Championship There will be 1 team promoted out of the West Championship Conference and 1 team promoted out of the East Championship Conference How to get promoted? Finish as the highest placed team out of your conference in the Ontario League Playoffs How to get relegated? Finish as the lowest placed team out of your conference in the Ontario League Playoffs Branch Union to Championship There will be 1 team promoted out of the NRU (into the West Championship) and 1 team promoted out of the TRU (into the East Championship) How to get promoted/relegated?
