SECTION 3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Routes of Entry: Skin-yes; eyes-yes; inhalation-yes; ingestion-possible; Effects of Acute Exposure to Product Acute Eye: May cause corneal injury. Acute Skin: Can cause skin irritation with prolonged or repeated contact. Skin irritation may not occur immediately, exposure may go unnoticed. Some individuals may experience sensitization after repeated or prolonged contact. Acute Inhalation: Low volatility makes vapour inhalation unlikely. Acute Ingestion: Immediately seek medical assistance. Effects of Chronic Exposure to Product Long term exposure may result in dermatitis or respiratory sensitization. SECTION 4 FIRST AID MEASURES Inhalation: Eye Contact: Skin Contact: Ingestion: If breathing difficulties or headache occurs due to overexposure, remove person to fresh air. If breathing persists to be difficult, get medical attention immediately. Flush with water for 20-30 minutes. Retract eyelids often. Obtain medical attention immediately. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash immediately with soap and water for 20-30 minutes. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Ingestion is unlikely. However, if ingested obtain medical attention. SECTION 5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Flammability: Non flammable; all components have flash points >212 F; Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water spray, water Flash Point: ; all components have flash points > 212 F. SECTION 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Avoid prolonged exposure. Spill should be contained with inert material and disposed into suitable retaining area. Small volumes of liquid may be contained or absorbed into an appropriate absorbent. SECTION 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE Store in a ventilated area. Do not exceed 27 deg.c. Keep containers closed when not in use. Avoid inhalation. Hands should be washed with soup and plenty of water after contact with UV materials. Do not drink or eat during work with UV materials. If skin contact occurs, immediately wash thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. Solvents should not be used for cleaning the hands or skin, as they increase the penetration of these materials into the skin. Storage requirements: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area, between 15-27 deg C. Keep away from incompatibles. Do not handle or store near open flames, heat or other sources of ignition. SECTION 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSOL PROTECTION Protection equipment is necessary. Neoprene gloves, safety glasses, protective clothing. Respiratory: Use respiratory protection equipment is recommended. Skin: Use neoprene gloves. Eyes: Use appropriated protection glasses. General mechanical ventilation may be sufficient to maintain safe vapour concentrations. If general ventilation proves inadequate to maintain safe vapour concentration, supplemental local exhaust may be required. Other special precautions such as respiratory masks or environmental containment devices may be required in extreme cases.
