Gab Krouse Girls Soccer Week of September 5th 11th Goalkeeper Gabrielle Krouse earned a shutout by making several game saving stops in the team s 0-0 tie with Cinnaminson. The next day, although the team lost 2-1 in double overtime to Moorestown, she once again was exceptional in the goal, making several key saves for the Lady Braves.
Victor Ruggiano Football Week of September 5th 11th Receiver Victor Ruggiano led the Braves Football team to a 45-7 victory over Kingsway by catching 10 passes for a 178 yards and four touchdowns. Victor averaged 17.8 yards a catch, with his longest touchdown being 47 yards. Victor was also honored by the Touchdown Club of South Jersey
Natalie Pantalone Girls Soccer Week of September 12th 18th Forward Natalie Pantalone scored 6 goals in 4 games as the team went 4-0 for the week. Natalie had the game winning goal in the teams victory over Highland on Monday. She scored 3 goals against Cumberland on Wednesday. On Friday, she scored both goals in the team s victory over Clearview.
Bryce Monahan Boys Soccer Week of September 12th 18th Forward Bryce Monahan helped lead the Boys Soccer team to a 3-0 week with his offensive production. Bryce currently leads the team in scoring after tallying 3 goals last week, including a two goal performance in a key 4-2 inter-conference win over Ocean City. In addition to his goals, Bryce has provided constant energy and hustle on the field that helps set the tone for the Braves
Matt Fahey Boys Soccer Week of September 19th 25th Defensive back Matt Fahey anchored the back line in a 3-0 week for the Braves. Matt led the defense in 2 shutouts against Schalick and GCIT. He assisted the game winner against Schalick and provided a goal against GCIT. Matt capped off the week with a 1 goal, 1 assist performance in a key win against division rival Kingsway. Michael Dowd Cross Country Week of September 26th October 2nd Michael has been the top runner on the Boy s Cross Country team all season. He finished in 1st place against conference rivals Hammonton and GCIT. He also had a great finish in the Osprey Challenge where he finished 4th overall. Michael has been getting stronger every week and is looking to do well in the NJ sectional meet to qualify for the state meet.
Nick Roback Soccer Week of October 3rd October 9th Nick has been among the Braves most dangerous players all season long and last week he continued with his strong play. He scored both goals in an inter-conference, 2-0 victory over Lenape. Nick also tallied an assist in a 5-1 win over Pitman. For the season, Nick has scored 4 goals and has 2 assists to help lead the Braves to a 9-1-1 record.
Jason Sass Soccer Week of October 10th October 16th Goalkeeper Jason Sass had a huge week for the Braves Soccer team. He recorded 2 shut-outs in addition to a 2-1 victory over defending state champion Washington Township. Jason was spectacular in the Twp win. He made several key saves including an acrobatic diving save in the second half and a blocked penalty kick to help preserve the key win.
Nate Taylor Football Week of October 17th October 23rd Senior linebacker Nate Taylor has been consistent all season long for the Braves Football team This past week, Nate had a standout game in a tough 24-21 loss to Shawnee. Nate recorded 8 solo tackles while assisting on 8 others. Two of the tackles were for lost yardage. Nate also had a sack that kept the Braves within striking distance late in the game.
Mark Petronis Boys Soccer Week of October 24th October 30th The Boys Soccer team has gone 6-1-1 over the past two weeks including three SJ Coaches Cup victories to propel the Braves to the finals for the 1st time in school s history. In each game, senior captain Mark Petronis helped anchor a suffocating performance by the back line that only gave up 1 goal in the past 8 games. Mark has set the tone for the defense with his tough play and leadership.
Wade Inge Football Week of October 31st November 7th Wade Inge had a huge week for the Braves Football team. In their 56-7 victory over Egg Harbor Township, Wade had 3 punt returns for 108 yards with one going for a 66 yard touchdown return. He had 6 catches for 36 yards on offense. For his outstanding play, Wade was honored by the South Jersey Touchdown Club for his special teams play.
