CCS Families, Wow! That s the only words I can use to describe last week s retreat. I have heard so much positive feedback from the people that went. The kids did an amazing job with the work projects and they seemed to really have a great time in the process. Most of them even laugh, while admittedly giving me a mean look, about the overnight shenanigans. I was so proud of the young men and women of CCS. Chad Eidemiller (the camp director) was raving about how well they did in the projects. They were such a blessing to the Christian mission of Wa-Floy. And, they did it in style while keeping smiles on their faces the entire time. God working through our students was a great thing to see. The chapel service lead by Chad was such a blessing. It seemed that many of our students experienced authentic worship. Chad lead us in worship and then preached about opening the door to allow God to work within your life and follow his commands even when they are difficult and seem to not make sense at first. Afterwards, there was a time when the stage was opened to prayer and for anyone that wanted to speak about what God was doing in their lives. I don t want to put anyone on the spot but there were some really touching speakers and several spoke of where they had seen and felt God work. A few prayed and one of our German exchange students gave his life to Christ. That, in its self, made the whole trip a success. I look forward to many more retreats with our CCS Family. Sincerely, Ernie Bussell High School Social Studies Dean of Students (HS Males) 3
