Session Descriptions Umpiring: 350 game veteran AFL umpire will deliver talks and s to Primary and High school students, he will present umpire development and courses for selected students and new umpires, and will deliver mentoring and training sessions with league umpires in Karratha, South Hedland, Roebourne, Newman, Tom Price, and Paraburdoo. Dean will be facilitating a number of sessions aimed at a variety of different groups. Engaging with Schools: The WAFC Education Manager will Discuss the hugely successful AFL School Ambassador Program with schools, she will also discuss Engaging with Schools for any clubs looking to engage better with their local schools this session will provide with the tools needed to utilize the positive opportunities that a close and strong working relationship with locals can have on a community club. TOP Club: The regional roadshow will also see the official roll out for the WAFC in the WA Sports Federations TOP Club program. The Top Club program works within the framework of the Swisse AFL Quality Club Program and will assist clubs to look at planning and culture. This exciting new program will greatly assist clubs to understand how culture is developed and get their club moving forward with a strong culture as the foundation. Club and Volunteer Development: Warren Nel the General Manager of Game Development will be joined by Joe Georgiades the WACFL General Manager as they discuss Club Culture and change, Club Governance and Management along with Volunteer management and recognition.. Coach: Craig Walker the WA Country Football League State Coach will deliver a practical sessions on how to train more effectively, and develop skill in your squad. This practical session will provide coaches with a range of drills and practical advice that they can transfer to their teams training sessions straight away.
Football Forum: Do you have a great idea you want heard - or have a burning question you want answered then the Footy Forum is your opportunity. The forum will be a facilitated discussion with local football leaders and the guests from the WA Football Commission. The intent is to discuss the hot topics of the days and share information on the current health of the game and where it is heading over the next 5 years. Sports Seminar: Local professionals will discuss, Sport and Drugs in Sport, Nutrition, Strength and conditioning, Sports injury Management to assist coaches and players in looking after their bodies and performance. Will run in conjunction with WACA high performance camp.
