Spreading Hope in God s Community Dear Parents and Guardians! I am very much looking forward to celebrating Halloween with you tomorrow evening at the Halloween Carnival. A big thank you to Valerie Valentine (Carnival Chairperson) and the Hallstrom Family (snack bar) for all your hard work organizing this wonderful community event. Next Wednesday, October 31st will be a minimum day, students can come in costume, but please have your student wear closed toe shoes. Please, no weapons or scary masks. I also want to thank Araceli Hernandez and all the 5th grade parents for running the book fair. Thank you also to everyone who are buying books at our Fair! The more books you buy the more money we get towards updating our school library with all new books for our students! Yesterday, our Dia de los Muertos altar was put up by Patty Ramos in the school office. If you have a loved one that you would like to honor, please bring a copy of their picture to be included on the altar. Thank you Mrs. Ramos! Next week will begin our community outreach for the St. Vincent de Paul turkey drive. Information will come home soon. Abundant Blessings! Mrs. Jorgensen Late Start and Mass on Thursday, November 1st Just a reminder, we will be starting school at 9:00 am. Gates will open at 8:55 am. Morning Falcon s Nest will be available beginning at 7 am. Students that are not registered with Falcon s Nest must email Mrs. Roarty prior to attending. A $5.00 fee will be charged. We will be attending mass for All Saints Day and students will need to be in full uniform with their white shirt. Come with your students to the Pop Up Store in the library! Hours for today, 12-6pm and Friday, 9-3pm. Please support your child s love for reading! Carnival Cake Walk Everyone s favorite way to get their steps is the Cake Walk. Donations are needed and they do not need to be wrapped! Volunteers will wrap all the treats! Please bring them to the school office today or tomorrow, October 26th until 3pm. Thank you! The Class of 1975 will be hosting a comedy night in the gym on this Saturday, October 27th, featuring the well-known comedian Mark Lundholm, who is also an alumni! This is a 21 and over event. Falcon s Nest will be open for the morning session only. We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Safe Environment Training Information As a reminder all parents volunteering must be fingerprinted through Livescan and have done their online safe environment course. If you have not had your fingerprints done, we will offer fingerprinting here at school tomorrow night at the Halloween Carnival. Mandatory Meeting-Save The Date! Parent Education Night will be on Wednesday, November 14th at 7 pm. This is a mandatory meeting. A friendly reminder, if at least one parent does not attend, you will be charged.
