Football Academy achieving more through sporting excellence In association with Chelsea FC Foundation Bexhill College, in association with Chelsea Football Club Foundation offers a one and two year, full-time education programme alongside a Football Academy experience for talented footballers aged between 16-19 years old. Students have the opportunity to choose and study from a vast amount of courses across all levels which includes over 40 A Levels and a wide range of vocational courses from Level 1 to 3. Students in our Football Academy are not restricted by course choice and are able to choose the courses to suit them whilst benefitting from the Academy offer. Therefore, future opportunities are extended, not limited. The football academy offers any passionate, enthusiastic and committed footballers who have aspirations of playing football at a higher level, opportunities to receive an outstanding education alongside regular coaching to a professional level. In association with... Students will gain a real and practical insight into professional football with a specialist and unique tailored experience with Chelsea FC Foundation. Students will be offered a place in academy each year based on their football playing ability following an open invitation to trial. The Vision The vision of both the College and Chelsea FC Foundation is to provide footballers in Sussex the opportunity to receive professional coaching and football experience that improves their football skills and ability whilst achieving an outstanding education. 3

Academic Curriculum Students will study their chosen academic studies from a vast range of qualifications on offered to suit their individual learning needs. Students follow a full academic programme which ensures the future opportunities are not restricted. Typically, students choose to study equivalent to 3-4 A Levels or a full Level 2 or Level 3 vocational course dependent on their GCSE grades achievements. These subjects will be timetabled around the Football Academy Programme. Previous students have progressed both onto prestigious universities and into employment as well as continuing to play football at a high level. Expectations of Students 100% attendance at all academic studies and football academy sessions and fixtures Wear Chelsea FC Foundation kit at all training, matches and when representing the College and the Academy Full commitment to all academic studies, training and matches Display a high level of self-discipline and act as a positive, professional role model Undertake a personalised strength and conditioning plan 5
League & Cup Competitions The Academy squads take part in a range of local and national leagues and cups including: Annual Chelsea Foundation Tournament National ESFA Cup Tournament AoC Sport Regional Competitions Sports Academy Sussex Schools U19 league and cup competitions In addition, Academy members have the potential opportunity of attending Sussex County Representative U19 s Trial depending on ability.
