To be specific, for 2017 a subsidy of 6.75 million euros is planned, while for 2018 this amount will be 3.75 million euros. At the same time, the Higher Sports Council will deal with extending the consideration of the Mediterranean Games as an event of exceptional public interest, which confers certain tax benefits on the sponsors, through to 31 December 2018.
