Duckys, also known as inflatable kayaks, are a perfect choice for experienced rafters who are looking for a more exciting trip down the Nantahala River! Duckying is also a great way to test out whether you want to try whitewater kayaking. So if you are looking for more adventure, duckys are the way to go! Single and Double Ducky options available. 3 Ocoee Whitewater Rafting Class III-IV Rollercoaster! Located just over the North Carolina/Tennessee border is the world-famous Ocoee River. The Ocoee offers two exciting sections of class III-IV whitewater. Each section is approximately 5 miles long, and is dam-controlled. The more remote Upper Ocoee is an action-packed run that includes the 1996 Olympic Slalom course, with stepper, more pool-drop style rapids. The Middle Ocoee is a whitewater roller coaster with continuous big wave rapids! Full-day trips, which include a delicious deli-style lunch, are available all summer long! The Middle Ocoee releases Thursday-Monday, while the Upper Ocoee releases on weekends. The USFS requires that participants be a minimum of 12 years of age. Open in 2006 for recreational releases for the first time in seventy years, Cheoah has become the ultimate Class IV+ whitewater rafting trip in the southeast. The Class IV+ rapids are made up of steep, vertical ledges and technical boulder fields, and a gradient that drops steadily through an ever-deepening canyon. Extremely continuous and physically demanding, the Cheoah is for those looking to take the whitewater experience to that next level! Full-day and Half-day trips available! Releases are limited to a select few days a year. Previous rafting experience on a minimum of Class III-IV whitewater is necessary. Participants must be in good physical condition.
