1 APRIL 4 5, 2009 CHATEAU ELAN EQUESTRIAN CENTER BRASELTON, GA Hunt Seat and Western Zone 4 Championship Competition The Zone 4 Finals will bring together riders from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee who have earned the right to compete in the Zone 4 Finals by their achievements in IEA horse shows throughout the season. The top four riders in their respective class at the Zone 4 Finals will earn the right to compete in the 2009 IEA Nationals Show in Painesville, Ohio April 30 May 3. Your sponsorship enables the IEA to continue providing and expanding this outstanding program nationwide.

2 2009 Highlights Zone 4 Competition with 33 classes English and Western riders Saturday Evening Championship Event The Venue The 2009 Zone 4 Finals are being held at Chateau Élan Equestrian Center in Braselton, GA. Chateau Élan offers many activities for those visiting the Resort. Two of Georgia s finest 18-hole championship golf courses are located on the property as well as a full spa for those seeking relaxation. We highly recommend a tour of the winery or culinary studio while you are visiting. The 2009 Details Competition - Riders will compete in both Western and English classes. Western riders draw horses they will ride in competition on Saturday. They are judged on their horsemanship abilities and skill in executing Reining patterns. English riders draw the horses they will ride in competition the day of their event. They are judged on their equitation and ability to control an unfamiliar mount over a fence course that is posted that day. They also ride an unfamiliar mount in a flat class where they are judged on equitation and horsemanship. Annual Zone 4 Championship and Awards Banquet (sponsorship available) A ringside boxed dinner and awards party to be held Saturday night, 4/4, 6:30pm. All teams will be excited to watch as the top riders compete in the Varsity Open Hunt Seat Championship, Varsity Open Reining and Horsemanship Championship. Additional awards presented at the Championship Event include the IEA Zone 4 Annual Scholarship, Sportsmanship, and Service Awards.
