16 HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR BAT BAT CARE Bats come pre prepared, this includes being knocked in and oiled We do suggest you spend some extra time knocking in the edges No extra oiling is required Toe guards are provided on all bats If a toe guard comes loose or falls off it is very easy to re-apply. Using wood glue stick back on and press down firm and hold in place for 24 hours Store in a cool, dry place, to avoid the bat drying out, especially in winter months when the heating has been turned on. After a year if you feel your bat is in need of some refurbishment or a clean up we suggest you send it in to us and we can provide that professional service for you for a fee.
