7 Technical requirements f national singles open competitions From 1 st July 2015 to 30 th June 2016 This Generic Criteria must be read in conjunction with the ISU Regulations 2012 (to be replaced by ISU Regulations 2014 when published) ISU Communications 1861, 1874, 1886 and any subsequent ISU communications. Vocal Music is allowed at all levels However, f the purpose of the Step Sequence in Beginner Singles, the requirement f full ice surface at base level will be achieved when the skater covers a minimum of 75% of the full ice surface to make this achievable f skaters at this level. The criteria f level 1 and above step sequences remain as per ISU. Ladies and Men may not compete together in the same singles competitions. These singles competitions must be split into separate Ladies and Men s events. This does not apply to any exhibition events where this is at the discretion of the club. Tests passed after the closing date DO NOT allow entry to be transferred to another level under any circumstances.. IJS events from Beginner to Level 3 will be judged in accdance with the ISU Basic Novice regulations, i.e. No element can achieve higher than Level 2 and only 2 components will be sced in accdance with ISU Communication 1947.

13 ADULT SINGLE PRE-BRONZE Competition. 25 Must be 21 but not 28 befe 1st July 2015 Competition. 26 Must be 28 but not 47 befe 1st July 2015 Competition. 27 Must be 47 befe 1st July 2015 (no upper age limit) Skaters must not hold level 5 elements free equivalent A competit in the Adult Pre-Bronze Skating event must perfm a well-balanced program that must contain: a. A maximum of four (4) jump elements. Only single jumps are permitted, no Axel type jump, no double triple jumps and no lutz can be included. No jump combinations sequences are allowed. No jump may be repeated me than once within a programme. Non-listed jumps may be included in the program as part of connecting footwk only. b. A maximum of two (2) basic position spin with NO change of position and NO change of foot. The spins must have a minimum of 3 revolutions. Flying spins are not permitted. There must be a minimum of two (2) revolutions in each position the position will not be counted. c. A maximum of one cheo-step sequence (i.e., circular, straight line,serpentine) cheo-spiral sequence covering at least 50% of the usual pattern (e.g. half a serpentine, half of a straight line etc.). In case of a circular step sequence a full circle is required covering 1/2 the width of the ice surface. To be counted a spiral sequence must include at least two (2) spiral positions of not less than 3 secs each one (1) spiral position not less than 6 secs long. Only the first executed attempt of a cheo- step sequence cheo-spiral sequence will contribute to the technical sce. Additional spiral sequences and step sequences will not be counted as a step sequence but will be counted as moves-in-the field (transitions) and marked as such. Duration The maximum time is 1:40 sec., but may be less (Preferred programme length is 1 min 30 seconds) NOTE that if there are fewer than 4 competits in any class, the ganisers reserve the right to amalgamate Classes

16 BLACKPOOL SKATING FESTIVAL IJS 2016 The competition will be held on the 4 h 8 th April 2016 Closing date is 6 th March 2016 RULES The competitions are open to all fully paid up eligible skaters as defined by the National Ice Skating Association of UK Ltd and will be held under NISA regulations and permit (Applied f). All levels will be judged under the International Judging System. Please check NISA website f any amendments to Generic Criteria. All technical requirements are National tests with the exception of competitive tests where appropriate, and are exactly as per NISA generic programme requirements 2015/2016. Entries to all competitions will be treated on a first received basis with a limit to entries in each section determined by time available. Reserve lists will operate until the draw f entries to oversubscribed sections, also on a first received basis. Qualifying date f age is as at closing. Skaters in all levels must complete the programme content sheet attached to the entry fm. This should be filled in using the shthand as stated on the fm, with the timings of each element filled in, signed and dated. This fm must be sent with the entry fm and entries CANNOT be accepted without it. Entry fms not giving coach membership details details of seminars will be returned to skaters without being accepted. All coaches signing paperwk f entry to this event must have completed a Field Moves seminar and also attended a discipline specific IJS seminar, which must have been within 12 months of the event. Coaches not mentioned on the entry fm will not under any circumstances be issued with an accreditation. Levels in all events must be attained by the closing date of the competitions. The national standards will be strictly adhered to. If the standard of a skater should change befe the closing date, notification to the competition ganiser is required immediately. Pleasure Beach Arena reserves the right: to refuse entries without reason assigned to cancel, combine split competitions into subsections. to retain the right of decision on all matters, their decision being final. Competitions with only one competit may require to skate to standard and will be at the discretion of the referee.skaters in this situation will be infmed and given the opptunity to withdraw. A photocopy of the Skate UK passpt must be supplied with entry f all Beginner competitions who have not achieved NISA Level 1 Field Moves. Refunds will be made to all competits not offered entry. Entry fees are not refundable after the closing date, 6 th March Entries accompanied by a cheque that bounces will not be accepted until the entry fee is paid in cash debit card together with an excess fee of 10 to cover bank charges. Pleasure Beach Arena cannot accept any responsibility f any damage loss of personal property. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED FROM THE POST OFFICE DUE TO A LACK OF POSTAGE.

The time and date of the draw will be advertised on the Arena website All skaters will be filmed f IJS The competition may be subject to doping control under NISA rules and by the ISU. Music f programmes will be accepted on CD. All music must be clearly marked with competits name and class. It is advisable that you have a spare disc with you. Competition dates and timetabling will be verified after the closing date following consultation with the Referee. A timetable will be posted on the club website: as soon as it becomes available. Winners of competitions will be required to sign f trophies ( parent/guardian) which are held at winner s resposability. They must be returned to Pleasure Beach Arena one calendar month on request befe Blackpool Skating Festival 2017 in good condition. Video photography will be allowed from a designated area in accdance with the Child Protection in Spt Policy. Permits must be obtained from Box Office. The throwing of teddies / soft toys / artificial flowers will be permitted in certain areas. Vocal music is allowed in all events included in Blackpool skating festival.
