My memories are of moments, and not of hours or days for the most part. Ordinary moments are what most of a day is made of and we forget them as quickly as they happen.... So my goal is to capture those extra moments on film so that you can experience them as well. I have done my job if you can step into my footprints and experience that extraordinary moment. Excerpt from Why do I call it Extraordinary Moments? Ron Eberhart, a long time member of Mile High Wildlife Photography Club, succumbed to cancer and passed away on October 7th. Ron was a truly valued member of our photography club, his contributions as a club volunteer included serving as President, sitting on the MHWPC Board of Directors, and sharing his knowledge both as a presentation speaker and author of newsletter articles. Best of all was the knowledge Ron generously shared with fellow club members and colleagues while in the field shooting nature photographs, or while socializing at our monthly meetings. Ron was accessible and unassuming, he always greeted you with a smile and with genuine interest in your photographic endeavors. Through Ron s photographs we will continue to be inspired and reminded to capture the extraordinary moments. A few of these moments captured by Ron have been included on the following pages.

5 The Wild Ones 2000 Eberhart Getting to Know You... An interview of Ron Eberhart, by Alix Gallivan Alix. What s your favorite photo shoot story? Ron. When I was in Wyoming with a group doing a wild horse shoot, we d found a pack of about 45 wild horses and five of them became extremely curious about me. Their ears perked up every time my shutter would go off. I had set up where I could get some good shots of them when they did a false charge (although I didn t know it was a false charge right at that moment) and they started coming right at me, and I m thinking What do I do? I can t out run em... so, I just stood there and kept shooting. The image I got just as they stopped was published in 2001 in National Geographic Traveler.
