Live music and entertainment 4pm-6pm - This year is bigger and better, expect fire breathers, stilt walkers, walking jazz bands, choirs and of course a festive DJ. Magical Lantern Parade 6:30pm 8pm - Cliff Road to Fore Street Watch the magical children s lantern parade as it passes through the high street. Plus lots of community groups are involved this year. Look out for the fire engine and the RNLI. Late night Shopping Until 8:30pm right across the town If you haven t started your Xmas shopping yet, Newquay s late night shopping event is the perfect time to begin. Visit our variety of businesses and why not stop for some dinner or festive treats? Fireworks 8:15pm - Newquay Harbour Grab your mulled wine and head down towards Newquay Harbour for a breathtaking fireworks display over Newquay Harbour. 6 Saturday 9th December Christmas Craft Fair at the Lighthouse Cinema: Locally made arts and craft of a very high standard, with Tretherras School Vocal 7 Choir singing Christmas songs in the foyer and a discounted Christmas showing of Home Alone, for just 2.50 per ticket. The fair runs from 9.30am to 5.30pm and the festive film is at 10.30am. Santa Surf Competition and Fun Beach Run at Fistral Beach am: Contact the Wave Project to enter, (registration at 9am). Come along and cheer! Newquay Community Christmas Market, 10am-6pm, at the Killacourt: A wide range of stalls selling Christmas gifts including cards and decorations, jewellery and sea glass art, confectionery and much more. NCC Wesley Church will be providing free wrapping: bring along your gifts and get them wrapped for free! Alongside the Market will be Santa s Grotto held in the Killacourt bandstand from 10am-4pm. In the evening there is a live music event from 7pm-11pm inside the marquee with a bar and entertainment.
