2 The National Capital Outaouais (NCO) Alpine Ski Team The National Capital Division and the Outaouais Ski Zone are nonprofit organizations dedicated to the development of alpine skiing excellence in the youth of the National Capital/Outaouais Region. During the 2013/2014 season, the National Capital Division and Outaouais Ski Zone has had over 1,000 athletes in racing programs. The National Capital Outaouais (NCO) development ski racing team is composed of the best regional athletes at the U16 and FIS (16+ yrs old) levels. These athletes represent the National Capital/Outaouais Region at provincial and national competitions. It is among these competitors that with your help - we will find Canada's next Olympic alpine ski racers. Page 2

3 6 th Annual NCO Classic Golf Tournament The Annual NCO Classic Golf Tournament, held at Edelweiss Golf Club since 2009, has been steadily building a dedicated following, and is fast becoming one of the most enjoyable events of the golf season. Sponsorship of the NCO Classic Golf Tournament offers your organization the chance to network with over 150 prominent supporters and builders of the local ski racing scene, while contributing to a wonderful community cause. There will be a number of prizes at various holes, a hole-in-one grand prize, longest drive, closest to the whole, fastest hole, etc. Dinner, reception and prizes will follow. 4 Guest of Honour for 2014 Each year, the NCO Golf Tournament hosts a special guest of honour a member of the community who has served as a Builder of Alpine Skiing in the National Capital/Outaouais Region. Judy Crawford (Rawley) NCO Builder for 2014 Judy Crawford (Rawley), originally from Toronto, started skiing at Georgian Peaks Ski Club in Collingwood. She spent 7 years on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, competing on the World Cup Circuit. In 1972 she competed in the Olympic Games in Sapporo, Japan, placing fourth in the slalom. Judy spent 34 years coaching at the Development Level in the NCO at Camp Fortune and Mont Cascade. During this tenure, Judith won the distinguished Canadian Ski Coaches Federation - Dave Murray Coach Of The Year Award, presented to the most outstanding Coach for that year. Judy has been a dedicated coach who has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of alpine ski racers. She is truly a Builder of Alpine Skiing in the National Capital Region.
