We have used our knowledge from 40 years experience in many facets of the horse industry to create a different kind of saddlery business that is beneficial to many people involved with horses. Our mandate is to provide our customers with the quality of equipment and services you need to make your equestrian experience both enjoyable and safe, whether as a casual rider or an avid competitor. We have selected brands of goods that we feel will give the best value for your money. This brochure contains a list of many of the items we sell, however, we often add new things as demand requires. As much as is possible, we purchase only from manufacturers in North America. While this may limit our inventory, we wholly believe in supporting our domestic economy. If what you need is not currently part of our stock, we will try and source it for you. At our shop, we maintain flexible hours and will do our best to accommodate the busy schedules of horseowners by offering onsite services at your stable or boarding facility for your convenience. Over the last 15 years, we have enjoyed seeing familiar faces in our shop and meeting new ones. We feel that we have developed a trusted bond with our customers. We plan to continue this tradition for years to come. 8 REPAIRS AND SERVICES If your tack suffers from excess wear or breakage, many items can be easily repaired in our shop, usually at an economical price, rather than have to be replaced. We always use top quality materials to fix what is broken. All repairs are handstitched or machine stitched as required for the best result. The following is a list of common repairs and their prices. On any other jobs, we will always quote you a price before the work is performed. Replace throat snap on nylon halter $10.00 Replace throat snap on leather halter $12.00 Replace standing keeper $20.00 Replace running keeper $10.00 Buckle turnback $20.00 Re-stitch stirrup leathers each $20.00 Re-grip rubber reins pair $50.00 Replace girth elastic each end $50.00 Replace girth billet straps each $ or more, each $40.00 We ask that you please clean your tack before bringing it in for repairs otherwise the added cost of time for us to do this, will be charged to you Spa Treatment for your tack Recognizing that not everyone has the time or ability to look after their tack the way they should, we offer this exclusive treatment to our customers. It includes giving your saddlery items a thorough cleaning then a deep conditioning with our Rider s Choice harness oil or Pro-Trainer saddle food, as necessary, and finally a hand-rubbed finish with our Rider s Choice saddle soap all in the warmth of our shop. During this time we can check for repairs that might be needed if you wish. Please call ahead and make an appointment for this service so that we can give you the fastest turnaround time possible. SADDLE CARE For the comfort of both the horse and rider, we offer saddle fitting and saddle re-stuffing services. Through our years of experience with horses and saddle construction, we have gained much knowledge of how saddles can affect the performance of both parties involved. If you are experiencing difficulties between you and your horse that could possibly be due to a problem with the fit of your saddle, we ask that you call us to discuss it. We then will set up an appointment to come to your riding facility and check the fit of your saddle both on your horse at a standstill and while you ride. As necessary, we will advise you as to whether or not the saddle you are currently using is suitable for your horse or whether repairs or replacement may be required. The charge for this service is dependent on the time needed to assess saddle fit. Saddle Fitting (local area) $ /horse (over 20km away from our shop, a traveling cost will be added) The wool flocking used in the panels of some types of saddles, is a natural fibre which will periodically need to be replaced due to compaction and matting within the panels. In our shop, we do this by removing all the old stuffing and replace it with new wool. During this procedure, the underneath leather of the panel, normally inaccessible to the owner, is also cleaned and conditioned to maintain it s suppleness. Great care is taken when inserting the new wool to ensure the fit of the saddle remains as it was or is newly adjusted to suit the horse as required. By re-stuffing your saddle, when necessary, you will maintain or increase the comfort both for your horse and yourself. Saddle Re-stuffing $250.00
