5 TECHNOLOGY TESTING ANSI IMPACT TESTING Select models of Global Vision Eyewear pass ANSI Z87.1 standards for safety. These styles must withstand a projectile weighing 6.35 grams dropped at a speed of 154 fps from the height of 25". ANSI IDENTIFICATION MARKS All of our frames, temples and lenses are marked with the appropriate safety rating. GV+S GVZ87+ Watch our Safety Glasses video for more information on ANSI standards. BALLISTIC TESTING Our Hercules 6 and Lieutenant styles pass MIL-PRF ballistic standards. Ballistech 1 and 3 styles pass MIL-V-43511C ballistic standards. Glasses are impacted with a 0.15 caliber, 5.8 grain, T37 shaped projectile at 640 to 660 fps. Goggles are impacted with a 0.22 caliber, 17 grain, T37 shaped projectile at 550 to 560 fps. 7 TECHNOLOGY GLOBAL VISION LENSES Global Vision lenses are crafted from shatterproof polycarbonate, and decentered to provide maximum clarity and peripheral vision. All lenses offer UV400 protection and a scratch resistant coating. They filter out both UVA and UVB rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, offering protection from 99 to 100 percent of harmful light. It is also our continued goal to provide our customers with cutting-edge technology that goes above and beyond UV protection. These innovations in both lens and frame construction ensure that the user has a multitude of options in selecting the right eyewear. G-TECH The science behind our trademark G-Tech lenses is based upon NASA technology used on space camera lens coatings, telescopes and satellite protection. We apply 7-13 layers of titanium dioxide and silica onto the polycarbonate lenses, yielding a highly reflective surface. This mirrored coating provides low internal reflectance between the eyes and the inside of the lens, offering unparalleled clarity. ONE YEAR WARRANTY REPELON Global Vision Eyewear products are covered by a one-year replacement warranty against manufacturer defects under normal use. Scratches are considered normal wear by industry standards and are not covered under this warranty. Please call us for a return authorization number before mailing anything to us to be returned or replaced. Repelon lenses are defined by a waterproof nano-coating applied to standard polycarbonate using vacuum evaporation. This coating is characterized by its exceptionally high resistance to water, oils and dust. PHOTOCHROMATIC Photochromatic lenses function based on a chemical reaction within the lens to UV rays. Photochromic molecules integrated into the polycarbonate subtly change their structure when ultraviolet light strikes them. In this altered form, they soak up more light as it tries to pass by, causing the lenses to darken. When no longer exposed to ultraviolet light, they revert back to their original state. DECENTERED A lens that has an offset optical center to maintain optical correctness. (This is used on high quality lenses that have a highly curved surface.)
