Living in NW (rural) Oklahoma, he has enjoyed meeting people from around the state. It also helped him to be more independent. Going to US National Games has made Ben feel very important and Special. Matthew Palmer Age: 23 Years involved: 8 Accomplishments: Matthew was in speech and his teacher couldn t get him to talk. His mother suggested that the teacher talk about basketball. So, she got a book about basketball, and he hasn t stopped talking since. Hunting, watching sports on TV. Special Olympics lets me play basketball even after I graduated high school. 3
